Many different industrial partners and projects opportunity to apply computer science techniques and get contact in industry and academia.
Let you make research and publish paper as in academic area but priority must be put on your industrial project success.
Possibility for patenting before publishing, with some financial reward.
50 days of holidays and social and leisure services à la française.
Very nice colleagues

Cons – Do not come if academic research is your main objective.
Human resource management is a chaotic rule-of-thumb process.
Main financial resources coming form industrial partnership with lot of engineering requirement (project management, computer programing) but without the salary of R&D in industry
Do not expect reward and financial compensation for your suplementary efforts, so you are not encouraged to surpass yourself to make the all business better.

Advice to Senior Management – Be more reactive and reward your best employees, provide financial incentives in every domains you want to promote, not only patenting if publications are such a strategic issue.

Pros – Medical Device industry is solid with many opportunities to stay busy, too busy. Excellent exposure to major medical OEMs and thier systems.

Cons – Senior management more worried about hours at work versus work done in those hours. Poor office conditions with little investment in technology to drive productivity.

Advice to Senior Management – Need to find someone who knows how to run a business within the medical device industry to maximize profitability through strategic long term planning. Engage and empower employees for better moral.

Cons – Not much downsides to be honest, except pay for internship isn't that great.
Not much scope to shoulder more responsibilities as an intern

Advice to Senior Management – Keep doing the good work. It feels nice to be part of a high technology company like CEA and knowing our products are highly valued across the globe.
