  2.

    I worked at CEERI

    Pros

The researchers are friendly and involve you in actual research from day one, specify the problem statement and the area you are to work in, and, to an extent, allow you the independence to choose the direction of your project.

    Cons

Limited interaction with other research groups, narrow focus on the field allotted to you, project guide may be very distant from the actual details of your work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more actively involved in research conducted by interns

I worked at CEERI as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

If one's intention is to do research in latest topics in electronics, like, MEMS, Image Processing and Signal Processing, Agro Electronics, Electromagnetism etc., then CEERI offers good opportunity to work, if one is self motivated.

    Cons

Self motivation is an important factor in such kind of a job. And it has to be maintained through out one's tenure in this place. If one gets off track then productivity obviously decreases. And chances of such a scenario are high in this company

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook

I worked at CEERI full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good place to do research with unlimited funds.
The environment is filled with people with topnotch scientists.
There are good labs to work and design.

    Cons

The place is far away from big city(6hr by bus),so if one wants to buy any material for project they have to go a long way.
As it is a govt. institution people are lazy and they extend the projects for years together.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Apart from scientists the quality of junior scientists is not good, some of them lack basic knowledge of electronics.
