    This company insist on "fixing what's not broken" making it hard to work for the new leadership and company that took over CSR/Rinker

    Pros

    Training, people you work with (most of them) are ok. Benefits are ok.

    Cons

    For some reason management is looking to catch you doing something wrong than right.

    Pros

    fair pay and benefits, decent mid level management, great customers to work with; flexible with family demands, overall "low key" feeling to company

    Cons

    senior management seems to be totally out of touch with the lowest rungs of who works for them, both salary and hourly; appearance seems to be that unless you are "chosen" or know someone at the highest levels, you will not get promoted beyond the position you hired into

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    read your 360 evals and go and back them up in the field - ask for harsh criticism, and accept it without repercussions - too many employees afraid of speaking up, many have good ideas

    Pros

    I think if you are a new graduate and are willing to live where ever, the opportunities at Cemex are endless. You can move into different areas if you are interested and willing to relocate. Also if you want to experience other countries, this would be available.

    Cons

    1) When senior management wants something "now", they don't care if it means a lot of overtime or time away from families. You can be compensated monitarily, but you will be worked hard for it.
    2) Not a lot of communication from management down.
    3) Work/Life balance is not as depicted on website.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Communicate more with lower levels and encourage/insist middle management communicates downward. If your website says you believe in work/life balance, then walk the talk.
