    I worked at CEVA Logistics

    Pros

Tons of responsibility. Good medical benefits and vacation pay. Start out at 20 paid days off, plus 9 paid holidays. Casual dress code

    Cons

Half of company (contract logistics), underpaid and company knows it but cant afford to catch up with other half (EGL or the FM group). Was there for 20 years as Ops Manager and never made over 60K. Definitely has a senior management (VP and above) that has an "ole boys club". If you arent a VP's drinking buddy, he doesnt have time for you.
HR is joke. They dont support anyone in the field. Always guilty till proven innocent. In my contract (location), the UAW sets the rules and the company gives in to them all the time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Back up your people, stop trying to get more blood from the stone. Look at yourselves for cost savings instead of off the backs of your lower level management. Less really is more. Get off your people and give them time to do more.

    Pros

I had a job, met some cool people, hired after a cpl of years of being a temp, worked alot of different depts.. ok supervisor.

    Cons

The Atl branch was very micro managed and if u weren't a management favorite, you were never getting promoted... management was a con in my opinion

    Pros

The people there are pretty cool to work with but thats about it.

    Cons

Amount of pay, hours, biweekly pay, couldn't get raises, the job your actually doing also sucks!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look around and listen, your not doing a good job AT ALL!

    I worked at CEVA Logistics

    Pros

Training on various equipment such as Reach, Order picker, pacer and electric pallet jack.

    Cons

Lewisberry, PA Warehouse - Everything - Company values mean nothing, they do not value their employees or Supervisors, lie to your face, communications sucks, no appreciation, training for leadership roles is a joke, willing to pay a Supervisor more from outside than promote within, no incentives and absolutely the worst management!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up, stop lying to your employees, actually put effort into caring and getting to know who works for you, treat everyone with respect not like they are stupid caged animals, make your HR department do their work instead of making the Supervisors do their job, too much more to continue.

I have been working at CEVA Logistics

    Pros

Fellow employees are great. Having to only work 4 days a week (unless there busy)

    Cons

Mangement like to cuss employees out. They do not given out raises often, but when they do you get a whooping 20 cents at most. Will not hire people as full time even if slots are open, there are people who have been part time 5+ years there. Very unsafe place to work as well, everyone is driving forklift at full speed with headphones and no one honks. Also too much management theres probably 40 employees and 12 managers (that I know of) so possibly more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of some management and teach the remaining ones respect.

I have been working at CEVA Logistics full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Jim Crane built a great business at EGL, purchased by Apollo

    Cons

Apollo ruined it; brought in non-industry dit-wits and led to Chapter 13... lies, lies, and heavy in debt

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sell it off in pieces, no longer able to operate strong service...smoke and mirrors at the customer facing positions, we promise but have no money to deliver

Former Employee - Operations Supervisor in Mount Juliet, TN

I worked at CEVA Logistics full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

As a supervisor: consistent pay, average insurance, most hourly associates are grateful.

    Cons

As a supervisor: no training, management/leadership directives are inconsistent and often unobtainable, management team is inordinately tense, curt, and somewhat unprofessional, co-leaders are too busy to offer advise and OJT, human resources is completely consumed by damage control culture, hourly employees are treated with disdain.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Implement effective training for new supervisors and regular performance tracking - don't wait until performance review period and blind side them with short falls at that time.

I have been working at CEVA Logistics full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Some long time customers who are great.

    Cons

Pay is not good at all, most of the management and people are unprofessional. Health insurance goes up every year. No sick pay; everything is lumped under PTO. Can't keep employees which makes work loads larger for others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of loyal employees who have been there 5+ years. Pay people what they are worth when you know they are a great worker. Get rid of unprofessional management who lie and are not fair.
