ConsLow salary compared with other business models.
Significant office politics in this environment.
Low budgets mean you must compete fiercely for funding of projects.
    Resistance to change.

Advice to Senior ManagementEmbrace change - especially that which would save money.
Fund all projects that pay for themselves.
    Discourage office politics.

Technically competent senior engineers but little room for advancement of junior staff

    Engineer II (Current Employee)

ProsInteresting projects to work on in many sectors. Vacation time is easy to use.

ConsTo many managers which leaves little growth for junior staff and managers like to hold younger engineers back. Salary is low for the level of work and profit sharing 401k is non existent for you ey engineers.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't be afraid of young engineers and give us the chance to advance our careers. the company needs to either match 401k or I'll never be able to retire because the profit sharing system doesnt work.
