    Pros

CHEP is semi-flexible, depending on your manager
The benefits & 401K are decent
There are many intelligent 'underdogs' even though they go unnoticed

    Cons

    ZERO work life balance
Layoff people while increasing work volume on others
Promote same people/teams; very little recognition
    Useless LCD calls with Leadership

    Advice to Management

Create work life balance; cut executive travel and useless expenses to increase headcount or cut projects. Value people's time and efforts!

    Pros

Vacation and medical plans are good. Field based position added lots of flexibility. Business is doing well even though it's always a catch up mentality.

    Cons

Constant restructuring leads to cut throat environment, most employees want to leave. Employees are just a number when it all comes down to it.

    Advice to Management

Retain talent or someone else will!

    Pros

Some of the best company sponsored training I have ever seen in 20+ years of my professional career.
Best and brightest people I have ever worked with.

    Cons

Leadership shrinking field based employees and risking long term customer relationships.

    Pros

Being a field based employee, flexible hours were nice.
Bonuses (when we got them) were generous.

    Cons

Departments operate in their own silos, not communicating or working well with other departments.
Some good managers, but the higher level managers are disconnected with what really goes on.

    Advice to Management

Learn about your employees and realize that each market is different.

    Pros

I work for a great manager and have the opportunity to interact with customers and have an impact on their operations.

    Cons

This job is cluttered with for to many administrating and data collection responsibilities to be truly effective at the core purpose of the position which is running your facilities and making sure the customer is taken care of.

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate rolls and responsibilities. Operations Reps. should not be spending 60% of their time doing AP, logistics, inventory control/plqnning and transportation admin. work.
