    Pros

The People are great- intelligent and always willing to help you out. Opportunity for travel a great bonus and, would be difficult to find better pay for the same level of work/life balance.

    Cons

Very techy initially which is not for everyone. A large number of clients are in less than exotic locations!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As much as possible try and give consultants more notice with project relocations.

    Pros

The people here are awesome - CHP hires very bright, personable people. More or less everyone gets on and people support one another hugely.

It's a very social place, with staff parties aplenty, as well as informal drinks most weeks.

    Cons

The work can get a bit repetitive and it usually involves a lot of travel to not-the-nicest-of-places. If you want to be truly technical then this probably isn't the place for you. And similarly, if you want to only do BA stuff, then you'll also struggle.

And the Directors are control freaks who promise the world and then don't deliver. I left years ago but if I bump into old colleagues they're still complaining about the same things and the same people!

    Pros

    - They put a lot of emphasis on hiring smart and pleasant people, and generally get it right.

     - Genuine effort made to try and make it fun and enjoyable - company events, activities etc.

     - Salaries and rewards and pretty good, if unspectacular.

     - They endeavour to rotate people through different roles to maximise exposure to different types of work - the opportunities to learn are pretty good.

     - People are not pigeon-holed as being purely technical or purely business-oriented; you can find or carve your own niche over time.

    Cons

    - You will probably have to travel away, which is not for everyone.

     - The number of good people means you have to work hard and/or wait to get the best roles.

     - Not all projects (or project sites!) are particularly interesting or glamorous

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Be more transparent. The company grapevine is extremely efficient anyway.

    Pros

Great as a young graduate, if you want to travel a bit and try out a few different things, mix up a bit of software development and client engagement, drink a lot, make some good friends.

CHP will be around for a long long time. The business model works, the market is there and we're positioned well within it.

    Cons

Not so great if you want to be a bit more settled while also being challenged and engaged on a daily basis. After 5/6 years (less for some) it can get a bit 'samey' especially when the same old frustrations come back to haunt you again and again.

Don't be sold on necessarily becoming a pure business analyst. There will definitely be plenty software development on the cards for you.

Don't be sold on necessarily becoming a pure software developer. This is something you *can* do and it's a pro that this is an option, however, this is where some of the repeating frustrations kick in.

Plenty of politics and a clique or two. Great if you're in with the cliques. Not terrible if you're not.

    Doesn't Recommend
