Wonderful group of individuals that lack good management

Manager - Contract Administration (Former Employee)
    Lubbock, TX

ProsIndividual office culture was great, supportive and creative. Long term employees that worked hard to meet the goals of the corporation.

ConsLeadership was sorely lacking. Upper management viewed employees as expendable. More importance was placed on money earned than on a quality product

Advice to Senior ManagementAll upper management needs to either be replaced or reeducated. Company values were stressed in meetings but not followed through.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Overall, okay, but upper management decision making is running this company into the ground

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsLoved my manager, some of my co-workers and was able to have a good life/work balance.

ConsIf your work isn't client billable, then look out!! That is all the upper management seem to care about. They are losing and cutting good people who are dedicated and good at their jobs.

    Decent but not great

    Field Technician (Current Employee)
    Houston, TX

ProsGreat coworkers, decent computers, hidden opportunities(if you can find them)

ConsNo organization, lack of commitment to customers to reach a decent satisfaction rating. Old technology and software is outdated. Managers not trained well enough or lack experience in the field of which they are managing. No 401k matching. Health benefits are minimal.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake ownership of your group and understand what you are asking of them.

    Engineer

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat coworkers, challenging work most of the time.

ConsToo much management in the company, not enough people to actually do the work. Management disorganized, middle managers don't understand the technical part of IT support, tended to blame technicians for problems they caused.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou need more technical people, less managers/ directors.

Not well organized, but decent pay

    Zzz (Former Employee)
    Mitchell, SD

    ProsPay and benefits were good.

ConsThe lack of organization was difficult. Opportunities within company were there, but everyone is so backlogged, they can't enjoy their job.

    Advice to Senior ManagementPlan better.

    So far, so good

    Software Developer (Current Employee)
    Sioux Falls, SD

ProsUses new technology, encourages employees to keep learning, interesting industry, open working environment (doesn't lock down websites, can download software you need, etc.), good benefits, good location, great people.

ConsPoor vacation policy (only two weeks), business casual dress code for seemingly no reason, no 401(k) matching, four million lines of code still in VB6 but working to convert it, pay isn't great, slow new employee process (takes a while to get work to do).

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease increase the vacation time. Two weeks is not enough for such a high production environment. Also, 401(k) matching needs to be at least 3%.

    Work Culture

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

ProsNot a great place to work

ConsIn some dept. Managers doesnt know even the tasks which there team are doing and managers hardly comes to office in a month or respond to the team members on a daily basis and always trys to take away the credit of work done by team members. Even after informing HR they wont take any action. No growth in carrier and promises given by company will be taken back any time by the company which even employees can't question. “The views expressed on this website/weblog are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of my employer.”

Advice to Senior ManagementKindly listen to team members who work hard, not to managers (few dept.) who even doen't have any knowledge of work otherwise company will loose n number of good employees and don't give promises to employees which company can't provide.
