    Pros

3 weeks holiday, non-commissioned salaries, good network building, insentive training

    Cons

short staffed so that each individual will have more workloads, busy retail banking environment, target/performance driven in a daily, weekly, monthly quarterly, and yearly basis. Multitasking is needed, and you have to deal with all different issues at your discretionary authority.

    Advice to Management

HUGE TURN OVER RATIO IN FSR ROLE, NO FURTHER DEVELOPMENT DOWN THE ROAD, PUSHY SALES WILL BRING THE SIDE EFFECT EVENTUALLY.

    Pros

CIBC was an excellent place to work at. I found managers very helpful, attentive and motivating. It was my first job once I had completed my BBA. CIBC offered a great range of products that suited the needs of its clients and helped them achieve their financial goals.

    Cons

No downside for working at CIBC. It has excellent benefits, and I was paid well. I felt like I was a part of a team. Everyone was trying to help each other get ahead.

    Advice to Management

Keep developing and motivating financial advisor talent within the bank. More education is always a good thing when its comes to people being able to give financial advice.

    Pros

Good part-time job while I was studying. Position looks great on my resume.

    Cons

Many managers get very stressed and end up micro-managing. Salary raises suck. After 3 years a new employee made just as much as I did.

    Advice to Management

Provide better pay and create a less robotic and stressful environment.

Targets were not reasonable. You are compared to your colleagues in sales meetings - did not feel that was productive.

Good benefits, good hours, lots of development opportunities and training resources. Well defined and established employee development programs.

Internal audit positions are drowned in regulations, policy and procedure documentation. Most projects are very dry.
