Pros
Some nice people to work with on operations.
Cons
No room for improvement, no training AT ALL after New Hire training. Trainers( only 2) don't know anything more than the company manual they instruct, but nothing on actual international work.
No lines of communication. Poor management, lots of politics and paper pushers.
Internal candidates apply for positions, but never get even an email from recruiters. Then they hire someone from outside.
Every 2 years, operations get new managers and directors.
Advice to Senior Management
Look into the talented people you have around. Promote with in.
Stop the power struggle between managers from operations. And hire a GSO director that knows what he/she is doing. Also hire trainers that are aware of the international work. Not only what the domestic side of the company does.
Pros
The generous benefit package provided.
Cons
Limitations of career growth outside of corporate HQ
Pros
Easy to get hired
Decent pay
Stats are realistic
Training is very good, has a 6 week training class plus access to a lot of help from coaches!
Cons
Sucky health insurance for a health insurance company
Doesnt make exceptions for missing work for a health condition
Rude co-workers are ignored and not punished by management
Advice to Senior Management
Get better benefits for employess, especially pharmacy benefits
Have better policy when it comes to missing work
Give some type of bonus
Pros
Free accommodations, free food during welcome party, location of housing
Cons
-Whatever they say to you, will be turned around to something else. They will say something good but in the end of the internship, they will tell you what you did wrong. I was never given room for improvement
-Never straightforward with you. Higher management really does not help you.
-Worst HR ever, especially TECDP program manager.
-Two-faced management
-Various cliques
Pros
The company offers some great benefits, they have a great work life balance. They offer tuition reimbursement and bonuses.
Cons
Using a third party recruiter for hiring process.
Advice to Senior Management
Do not look outside for amazing talent, when it is right in front of you.
Pros
Good Managment staff, great benefits, career progression, opportunity for advancement, great pay flexible hours, good business continuity and training, overal great company
Cons

Advice to Senior Management
Non
Pros
There are many opportunities for growth, not always advancement. But diversity and broad experience are valued as part of job preparation.
Cons
some times paperwork is heavy and things are made too bureaucratic. A large company needs to have appropriate and quick communication which can be difficult to do well.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep trusting us to do our jobs
Pros
CIGNA has good benefits, flexability of working hours, flexability of dess code, work enviroment is ok and they have fair compensation for type of work.
Cons
Management show special treament to some and indifference to others. Also, some that do a good job are acknowledged with others are overlooked.
Advice to Senior Management
Allow your employees to do their job without unnecessary meeting. Don't show special treatment to some employees and not others.
Pros
Excellent management and training programs. There is opportunity everywhere for up training and career growth. Communication and leadership including team work and professional behavior from all management. Comfortable place to work, and the training Cigna provides allows for success.
Cons
Organization and space provide difficulty at times. Change is a big part of Cigna, but sometimes the management teams leap into mistakes without looking at the big picture.
Advice to Senior Management
Never use any training class as guinea pigs to try something new, especially if it doesn't work. Don't make your employees suffer for your mistakes in the future.
Pros
It was a good experience to intern at Cigna. Out of the three internships I have had, Cigna was the top one
Cons
Employees do not keep their word of following up
Advice to Senior Management
Advise manager/TECDP manger to give real feedback. Also reply to emails. This undermines leadership
