    Pros

The 9/80 work schedule, health benefits/healthy living incentives, 401K match and pension you won't find many other places anymore, laid back work environment overall although not in every department. The people are overall friendly. People are active in their community and volunteering. Some consider it a 'CITGO family'.

    Cons

The lack of upward mobility for even 'high' achieving employeess is really discouraging causing good employees to eventually leave in order to advance their career. Negotiate what you want salary wise when you come on board because you will be stuck in the same pay band for a long time regardless of performance. Not the company to come work for if you are looking for high compensation.

    Advice to Management

More internal promotions are needed. There are a lot of valuable employee talents that are being under appreciated and under utilitzed. It makes it very difficult for those who like the company to stay long term and have a career. Most who leave do so because of compensation, lack of promotion or bad managers.

    Pros

Great work/life balance. Good people and laid back atmosphere. The 401k and benefits are some the best in the business. and the 9/80 work schedule is a big plus.

    Cons

Upward mobility and employee development a bit slow. You have to move through different departments (jobs) to get pay increases.

    Pros

Good pay and flexible management. Time off policy vary based on years of service, but it is good as well. Vacation is negotiable on hire in.

    Cons

Just like other oil and gas companies there are too many layers of management. There is not a lot of growth opportunity depending on your department.

    Advice to Management

Benefits are good, promotion opportunity is almost non existent. Upper management paralysis will eventually push good employees out the door.

    Pros

Good pay and benefits package. Mostly self directed work pace. 9/80 work schedule makes for good family/ work balance.

    Cons

Very little management structure leading to mostly self directed work that is poorly coordinated making accomplishing goals difficult.

    Advice to Management

Stop all the national politics and actually run the company in a way that shows its potential. Show the employees you care about moving the company forward. Invest in growing the company and maintaining its capacity.

    Pros

    Benefits - medical, vision dental
    Compensation - 401k and pension.
    Time off
    Some learning opportunities

    Cons

Not very much growth from within at all. Pay is on the lower side. Little to no promotion or advancement.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be more growth from the inside instead of hiring contractors or looking for others outside of the company, VERY little growth here.

    Pros

You were able to drink free coffee and hot cocoa during your shift.

    Cons

Door on left side of building swings open during wind gust, management never wanted to fix it.

    Advice to Management

Let your people bring books to read, and listen to music. After the work is done, on slow days your employees need to keep themselves busy.
