    I worked at CMP

    Pros

CMP has a lot of potential to be a good company where you can feel like you are contributing. The direction the company wants to go is a good one, but they have no idea how to get there.

    Cons

CMP is a small, family owned, manufacturing company. However, this means the people in executive management have no experience outside of the company. While their educational backgrounds are good, the lack of experience outside of that company is a serious shortfall. Communication between the operations team and sales team is horrible at best. It is not possible to have a decent production schedule when the schedule is being changed 8 times a day. One customer should not always take priority of others. This causes delay in ordering and creates a serious case of backlog.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep in mind that all customers are important. Changing promised delivery dates multiple times a day is frustrating at best for customers. Also, if you want a new department in place, be prepared to invest in the infrastructure to support that department. If you want to maximize the effectiveness of data collection and usage to make the best business decisions possible, realize that your data guys are crucial to the process. Most of all, you are only as fast as your slowest hardware. Infrastructure investment is worthwhile.

I worked at CMP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good place if you don't plan to do anything too different from other companies, more relax and much lesser stress, the hours are good but the pay is low to average

    Cons

Not a good place to grow as you don't learn much in technical knowledge to improve yourself in the industry. Fast and cheap is the motto.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a hard look into the current style of management effect on junior or new workers, the current style kill any sort of creative spirit nor allows time for any improvement of individuals skill.
