I worked at CNH Industrial N.V. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved working with customers and in the ag business. Casual attire. Given lots of independence to do my job.

    Cons

Horrible morale. Constant fire fighting. Would have liked a review of job performance. Lack of training.

    Advice to Management

All the assumptions that go on in that place is horrific. Treat people with respect and not use public humiliation as a learning tool. Quality Mgr should not laugh or smirk when talking about the poor numbers. Just made me sick to my stomach.

I worked at CNH Industrial N.V. (More than a year)

    Pros

International travel, big company, small plant, big ideas, clean facility, fun product to make and test, Southern workforce with can do attitude, daily all hands meetings, decent pay.

    Cons

Plant managers hired his friends, corporate Quality dotted line was a tyrant, CNH never got behind compact tractors, WCM was never resourced properly, raises were never discussed, bonuses non-existent, environmental irregularities, production control was out of control, quality didn't have a chance.

    Advice to Management

Demand your plant managers create a team environment. Make managers accountable for daily KPI's. Get control of your suppliers to keep good product coming off the lines. Make your facilities work like teams and remove silos.

I worked at CNH Industrial N.V. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great exposure to all different kinds of machines. Grand great opportunity for engineers to learn. If you pay attention you can see how business operate. If you keep your eyes looking you will find talent people around you.

    Cons

No payment or level adjustment based on performance. No adjustment for inflation. It may not hurt you so much in the first a few years. But it will hurt you more every year after that. Trying to do more work, learn, grow, but eventually find out that has nothing to do with pay.

    Advice to Management

Value your high performance employer. Meritocracy policy is not working to help the company. It work against the company.

I have been working at CNH Industrial N.V. full-time

    Pros

Cross cultural interaction and communication. Ability to work with global team to decide and implement strategies Excellent Corporate contribution to 401K Corporate Office shut down on the last week of the year (1 extra paid week vacation)

    Cons

Limited options to career improvement / development unless you are "well connected" to right people (upper level management). Constant turn over in the purchasing department. Bureaucratic processes and limited buying power (everything must be reported and approved by upper management)

    Advice to Management

Be more clear about career path, opportunities. Motivate and coach the employees to achieve goals and help make things happen. Improve processes that have proven over and over again to be inefficient and don't add any value in the achieving goals.

I worked at CNH Industrial N.V. full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The company provides traditional salary and benefits to employees. If you are OK with a set job with almost average compensation, you can thrive within this company.

    Cons

Morale within the company is abysmal. The Italian leadership style of the company is to instill fear in hopes of increasing productivity. There is virtually no mechanism to grow employees and encourage high performers within the company to take on new leadership roles. Managers are given very little information and yet are still directed to consistently deliver bad news to their teams without any business rationale. Therefore, the people who last within the company are those who accept and embrace mediocrity.

    Advice to Management

Encourage thought leadership from employees and allow managers to manage. No longer accept the authoritarian rule that leads the company down a path of inferiority in the marketplace.

    Pros

    1. Really good understanding of the various aspects of business - customer, operations, marketing, supply chain and finance. 2. Helps you understand the rise and fall of economies worldwide and how they affect business operations. 3. Helps you "find your calling" in terms of career development

    Cons

    1. Too political to propagate change 2. Requires you to be intrinsically motivated, 24x7 - external factors often sap your motivation 3. Becomes run-of-the-mill after a year

    Advice to Management

Device salary payouts based on a combination of accomplishments and potential to accomplish rather than just accomplishments.
