    You can do better

Technical Writer (Former Employee) Houston, TX

ProsI received my requested hourly rate without too much debate.

ConsIf you are a contractor who uses agencies for the sake of health benefits, look elsewhere. COMSYS' package is a losing combination of poor quality and high cost.

Sadly, I've also been unimpressed by the operations personnel I've dealt with over the years. I'm sad to say that none have struck me as particularly organized, creative, or proactive.

Advice to Senior ManagementWhen you offer dismal benefits and your contractors have negative experiences with your personnel, they choose other agencies and share their experiences with other professionals. Food for thought.

    COMSYS misrepresented benefits

Systems Engineer (Current Employee) Dallas, TX

ProsCOMSYS reps make an effort to build a good relationship with the contractor.

ConsCOMSYS misrepresented the benefits package. Be wary of any "salaried" position where you are contracted to COMSYS customer, as you are paid upon the billable hours on the job. During the onboarding process the benefits rep stated that I would get three weeks of PTO time during the first year of employment. She conveniently left out that I would only get 1 week PTO during the first six months. I went unpaid for two weeks when I took a planned vacation and when the customer closed for the holidays. My salary for the previous year was $15000 less than what was agreed upon during the interview.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop penalizing employees during the first 6 months of employment.

Working for Comsys has been a good experience

IT Project Manager (Current Employee) Bethesda, MD

ProsMy experience with Comsys has been positive. They have handled everything professionally and efficiently.

ConsThe Comsys health insurance premium is high compared to other companies. I kept my COBRA from my previous employer because the premium is less expensive for very good coverage.

    Just Another Body Shop

Professional Consultant (Current Employee) Saint Louis, MO

ProsPTO is decent (14 hours per month after first six months).
    Pay depends on the contract.
    Strives to maintain pre-Manpower identity

    ConsFirst six months were tough.
You are a contractor and subject to the whims of the client.
Never see the Client Manager or the Placement Manager once you get placed somewhere.

Advice to Senior ManagementRemember the promises of the hiring process: what COMSYS events have occurred in the past year?
Be a little more flexible about hiring people; just because "that's the way we've always done it" is not an acceptable reason any longer.

    Review

IT Consultant (Current Employee) Saint Louis, MO

ProsYou will know up front what you get into. It is not different from most of the other consulting companies.

ConsNot on par with most of the other competitors when it comes to rate. They will not give you the rate from the client as most of the other companies in the area do.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to reach out to the consultants more. Try to talk to them more. A good training program would be better.

ConsNot much. They did what they need to and left you alone.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe vision for the company is good

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
