    Pros

What can be better than helping people? Nothing beats seeing that you helped put a smile on someones face.

    Cons

The hard work does not match the pay you receive. You are caring for someones life. And making very little over minimum wage doesn't seem fitting. If you love what you do it makes up for it in some ways.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Watch staff, not everyone has common sense on what to do.

I worked at CPES full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There is great internal reward for helping those in need. Some of the services offered are high quality thanks to the investment of the managers currently employed. Mid-level management appreciate each other.

    Cons

There are few benefits offered and no bonuses.
The Work/Life Balance is not balanced for most management level positions.
The company is in process of re-organization and lay-offs, so stability and morale are poor.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at CPES full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Clients were wonderful to work with and so were most of the employees. It was fun learning and understanding how to work with clients with SMI and DD.

    Cons

There was little to no opportunity for advancement with in the company and wages were low. Many times staff had to work much longer then scheduled or fill in for shifts when other staff did not show or if the Site Supervisor/ Service coordinator did not schedule anyone. The SS/SC's were condescending and deceptive towards staff when staff came to them with issues concerning clients, behavioral health guidelines, progress notes, and, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Move PTO back to 7 months after hire date rather than 1 year. Maybe give some respect to your workers.
