    Pros

The work is creative, wonderful customer interaction, and you learn as you prepare!

    Cons

Generally, there are no cons, unless you had the managers I had. The first one was very Borderline Personality Disordered, expecting praise and accolades or else she would beat herself up. The second supervisor ran the place like a drill sergeant, using punishments and rewards and public shaming and verbal harassment of the staff, including me

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

SCREEN YOUR SUPERVISORS PLEASE! Require mental health screening and look into their pasts more. If they were raised in abuse, neglect or were the "golden child" DO NOT PUT THEM IN CHARGE, period!

    Cons

Unorganized, Management, Lack Of Training, Schedules, and The Directions That You Have To Follow

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Its unorganized. Very hard to maintain understanding on what you are doing. Managers put you out there and leave you hanging. Instead of getting proper training, instead you get criticized on what you did "wrong".

    Pros

I enjoyed the customers who shop at BJ's.

    Cons

The fact that my supervisor allowed certain employees to back stab and torment staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To not treat their employees as dormats and appreciate the fact that they have faithful staff willing to build their company

    Pros

The job allows flexibility to take care of work life and the ever-changing crazy schedule of being a single parent. There are very few problems working here. All work is communicated through internet and I only speak to my boss when there are problems to resolve or special projects to schedule.

    Cons

The pay. Can I say that 10 times? I have been with the company for almost a year and the position is limited to part time. Additionally, I have heard that new hires are making up to two dollars more, so unfair if true.

    Pros

I worked at CROSSMARK in a Sam's Club, where I was an Event Specialist - basically, the person who hands out samples of free food. The work is easy, the hours aren't taxing, and the pay is wonderful for the work you do. You meet a lot of people, you get to experience lots of new recipes and try new types of food, which is pretty neat. Schedule is adaptable and easy to work with school, etc.

    Cons

Standing on concrete floors for long periods of time is very stressful on your knees and feet. On slow days, it was agonizingly boring - you are confined to a ten-foot radius from your station, and get no breaks aside from your 30-minute lunch period. It's only a part-time position, which could be easily made full-time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is a huge mess. Conflicting information was stressful to employees, and policies change so frequently that employees have no time to adjust. CROSSMARK was on a huge downhill slide when I left, and I am glad I did. It's too scattered.

    Pros

You get to try free food all day long and get to talk to people, it is never boring unless you do not make something of your time.

    Cons

Not very well organized at all. You have to figure out a lot of things by yourself unless you work directly under a LES or Retail Supervisor.
