Pros
Large orgnization, so have lots of opporutniites to scale up.
For the same CTC, there are lots of tax benifit breakup so the take home is higher
Cons
Weak promotion/hike policy.
Even the best performers will not get a product company like compensation.
Not so great managers above you.
Advice to Senior Management
Change the way promotoions or hike is given. Don't have a strict "number of years" as a prerequisite to get qualified for a promotion.
Pros
was offered a competitive salary while joining CSC
Cons
CSC should not have hired people unless they are sure they have projects. Many of my colleagues have been asked to leave the organisation, stating the same reason.
Very strict on maintaining 9.5 hours. They deducted my salary for 15 days because I did not maintain the required hours.
Advice to Senior Management
Please dont hire people unless they are actually required and jeopardise their career!
Pros
Cant think of any .You get to try your hands on different technologies
Cons
No employee benefits.Impossible to get a promotion.Salary is rock bottom and you hardly get a raise. There is no graded salary system.
Advice to Senior Management
Remember you guys are nothing without the lower level employees
Pros
work from home option and nothing else, no onsite opportunities
Cons
no career growth. you have to be in the same project for quite some time. Managers is quite not good. they are not flexible and they create unnecessary pressures. apart from that i guess it is quite ok. CSC should have more of implementation project also rather than support only jobs. they should also have few onsite trips now and then, as it is change and gives motivational faactor.
Advice to Senior Management
should be more dynamic, should encourage ppl to grow within.
Pros
Policies are geared to achieve good work-life balance. Management is supportive of employees taking personal time.
Cons
Growth is limited. The company is underperforming its peers in the industry (like IBM and Accenture); largely because of a lack of understanding of current market realities. Customers increasingly demand offshore-based services but Business Units in CSC are either ill-equipped or unwilling to use offshore-services as a value proposition to customers.
Advice to Senior Management
Educate the Business Units and Sales units about selling offshore-centric services to achieve faster organic growth. Break down barriers between various business units and promote collaboration. Fire a few top bosses who wage turf battles instead of promoting the larger interests of the organization
