    Pros

The folks that do the day-to-day work at CSC are the greatest in the world and will always, I hope, provide superior performance for the customer.

    Cons

The company has taken many steps to survive that have had negative impacts on company morale. Health benefits took a huge dive this year and you can see the exodus of good talent as a result.
Recently, employees were told that they could only recognize those employees with tenure of 15 years. No longer would employees reaching the 5 and 10 year mark be recognized and given a gift. Times are just too tough to spend $5 on them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For a company full of smart and highly educated folks, why are they being treated like dummies. They know the top execs are still getting bonuses, albeit smaller ones. And the company cannot afford a $10 gift to recognize 5 or 10 years of service??? That's very small minded or very cruel. .Take your pick.
Stock prices are up. Morale is not. Eventually either morale will suffer more or customer service will. There has to be a happy medium.

Covansys Corporation is not a good company for "Talented people" and its good company for "Lethargic people"

    I worked at CSC Group

    Pros

Covansys Corporation was a good company earlier, but not now. This company has no protocal and process interms of employee recognition and growth, since couple of years it's gone down very much, ofcourse, interms of compensation and benifits are ok when you compare with other companies including 401k plan.

    Cons

This company basically recruits people, once the process is done they dump you into different location (garbage), frankly speaking, this company does not follow any process interms of employee growth. You will become like "dum" also you will lose scope and skills as well. Basically "ACCOUNT MANAGERs" , these days they started new business example they are taking "SUB-CONTRACTORs" and getting lot of commissions from layer companies in place of Fulltime employees. These days Acct Managers are taking sub contractors and removing fulltime employees , this is happening in all accounts, even if you inform HR they dont even care about this matter, this is really rediculous. At customer location fulltime employees dont get any respect from Account Managers, amazing thing is fulltime employees cant even see or meet Account Managers, because thereis no communication between employees and account level managers and Acct managers feel like a big boss or kings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want this company to become good like other please remove all account managers who does not maintain relationship with employees and show bosism. Also keep eye on few account managers who takes sub contractors in place of fulltime employees, Please visit customer site and evaluate their attitude. Many fulltime employees have good skills but they are leaving Covansys because of these acct managers, and they are treating employees like slaves. Please save employees and give respect to all fulltime employees and recognize them in terms of compensation and growth.

I left this company last year because of these politics...........HR ...please wake up......................

It paid the bills and provided healthcare coverage. Although, you had to wait 90 days to get benefits. Do companies still do that?

    Cons

Lots of turn over, therefore difficult to build up relationships with co workers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire right, then provide training to keep good employees.
