Pros
If you wish enjoy life without any improvement (e/x if you are settled), then CSC can be good option.
If you expect Salary hike every year, good project assignment , no work politics then CSC is NOT the right place.
Esp, if you happen to join Covansys projects, then expect even worse.
Cons
> Less (/Moderate) Salary
> Expect work politics
> Poor work location (MEPZ & PKT)
Advice to Senior Management
No advice can help you. Unless the management wishes to change themselves from Corrupt to good :-(
Pros
was offered a competitive salary while joining CSC
Cons
CSC should not have hired people unless they are sure they have projects. Many of my colleagues have been asked to leave the organisation, stating the same reason.
Very strict on maintaining 9.5 hours. They deducted my salary for 15 days because I did not maintain the required hours.
Advice to Senior Management
Please dont hire people unless they are actually required and jeopardise their career!
Pros
Sit Idle
No Work Pressure
OK Salary
Own your Car/Computer benefit and other benefits
Domain Knowledge Training
Laid Back Environment
Friendly Environment
Friendly HR
Cons
No Real Good Projects in Finance Domain.
You sit idle for months waiting to get allocated in a project. Even if you do, the work is horrible and the project duration is for a few months.
Allocated Project Randomly, totally ridiculous process.
Don't bet to get a project using technologies for which you were hired for.
All Projects mostly use outdated technologies.
If you love to work and want to work on the best projects and technologies, SKIP CSC.
Managers are like kings, butter them to succeed. Your hard work are a waste of time.
Complete Mismanagement and Chaos in CSC Noida DLF IT Park Campus.
You won't get your system or a place to sit, before a month or two. You'll be thrown around sittiing and using another person's system who are absent for that day. You get CRT and system with 1 GB RAM. IT department frowns if you want more RAM or a TFT screen. I mean come on...
Advice to Senior Management
"Most Admired Place To Work For" - What a big Joke!
Get your act together for CSC India. It's one of your biggest development centers with
nearly 20k people. Get some good projects and quality work.
Don't hire blindly... get some really skillful guys.
Revamp the work culture... get people who love to work... not who love to sit idle and draw huge salaries...
Please change for the better!!!

For the same CTC, there are lots of tax benifit breakup so the take home is higher
Cons
Weak promotion/hike policy.
Even the best performers will not get a product company like compensation.
Not so great managers above you.
Advice to Senior Management
Change the way promotoions or hike is given. Don't have a strict "number of years" as a prerequisite to get qualified for a promotion.

3. Bid for clients directly
Pros
Overall Good. Nice compensation, Better empowerment of employee for work-life balance. Being a MNC, it has some good policies.
Cons
You will hate your job if you land up with a bad manager/client.
CSC needs to evolve on this aspect.
Plus, being so much process oriented, is quite an headache.
Plus, even if compensation is good, the salary structure can still be improved to save more tax.

Cons
1. Technical skills are being sidelined.
2. Training is difficult to get aprroved because your project has to pay for it and that affects the profits for the project and the manager's commission.
3. The intranet is a wild world and simple searches usually do not work. You may search for a cab in Mumbai and they'll point you to one in Shanghai.
Advice to Senior Management
