Pros
- Pay is good compared to similar companies
- Benefits are good if you manage to get them
- Excellent online training - but where does it lead you in the company???
- Health plan is very good
- Location is perfect
Cons
- Team Leaders and managers don't have a clue how to manage a team
- Both lack knowledge
- Training is poor
- A group can have 2 or 3 TLs - one doesn't know who to report
- EVERY month you receive a long CRITICISM email about your flaws - never positive
- Your job report is never good enough - so they don't have to pay bonus or raise your salary
- Co-workers are fake and always stabbing each other on their back - I guess they believe they will get a raise or promotion, which it never happens.
- They do offer extra benefits (auto purchase, computer purchase...) but it's very tricky to get it.
- There is NO WAY to do a perfect job, no matter how well you do it, they will find (make up) a flaw.
Advice to Senior Management
Instead of competing with your own staff, join all your forces against the REAL competitors!!!
Pros
Only have to work 8 hours...
Cons
Outdated hardware, office equipment, decor
Pay very low in compared to other outlets in the same city. Leading to high turnover and constant training of sub-par employees.
Even though being subsidized by the Quebec government in the tune of $20k per employee. No raises the past 2 years.
No option to telecommute since they would not get their subsidy otherwise.
Few that do get promoted are not based on work competence
Constant demand to "Take that next call, go go go" without adequate staffing to back up the volume.
Next to impossible to get a day off due to the inadequate staffing, leading you to take a sick day since if you ask you'll be told "No"
Advice to Senior Management
Get a clue...
Pros
-Great location
-Great atmosphere
-great starting place for your career
-exposure to many clients
Cons
-No true business development in Canada
Advice to Senior Management
Better transparency and rewards
Pros
Starting pay is good her because Provincial Gov. pays $20k of each employe salary who makes $36,717 or more. Benafits are better than alot of other places.
Doesn't take a long time to get seniority here because so many leave, turn around is the most I've ever seen.
3 weeks of vacation to start and paid sick days are a bonus. You can browse most of the internet or all of it with proxy.Besides that there aren't many other positive I can think of. I'm here for a while...living the dream paying for the house and cars. Draw your own conclusions.
Cons
evrything else...they expect you to stop living your life...company needs 1st! they say.
Being told to your face that you are very easy to replace, so like it or lump it.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire competent account Managers. Ones who aren't afraid of change nor try to block it.
Managers ho have less of an Ego-power trip in the position.
Pros
-good benefits package.
-decent pay (although there is room for improvement)
Cons
-communication (you don't know you're doing something wring until someone slaps you in the wrist)
-no team meetings to discuss ways that the department can improve
-no recognition for job well done
-no respect for people's personal lives...holiday schedules given out only the day before the holiday
-HR dept. very tight with management, therefore, complaining about your manager mistreating you is often useless
-HR invents their own policies, none which are documented in the standard HR guides
-HR gives employees the runaround
-people who get hired for management positions are very questionable and often not qualified for the job.
-CSC cuts employees' breaks when the phones are too busy.
Advice to Senior Management
Schedule rap sessions, team meetings, and do what you can to get more feedback from your employees. Often, someone has a fix for your issues, but you don't want them to be heard.
The local HR needs to be monitored closely/more often by the central HR, so as to prevent corruption.
Cutting people's breaks is not the answer. This just shows that you are understaffed. As well, this will cause them to get tired and burn out, which will lead to them missing work days (possibly take a health leave).
