    Pros

    The team is a awesome group of people I have ever gotten the pleasure of working with. But Management has nothing to do with personalities.

    Cons

    Watch out for your bonus and hourly pay. If they can get away with not giving you what you deserve they will.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    RESPECT goes a long way. And giving credit were it is do. The people you reward may not be so worthy. The ones that work hard are not being acknowledged and that's not fair. Giving promotions to only people that you get along with and like. not who is the best candidate. There are so many reasons why there is a high turnover rate the pay is also one. I don't think CEOs care or they would have done something by now about how there Mgrs.' deal with issues at there companies. I'm not being disrespectful but I just want CSL to a better company that's all, I know it could be .

    Avoid entering employment here at all costs. Especially in Greensboro,North Carolina.

    Pros

    Management can be flexible with scheduling and they also provide food sometimes for employers.those are about the only good things.

    Cons

    Management plays favorites slot at my center. Dont expect raises or promotions unless you are a suck up or are willing to spy on other employees for it. Management only tries to fix problems when the will be audits or corporate visitors, other than that they don't care about your problems. Also expect to be paid much less than competing centers. We currently make 4 dollars less than the other center in town. A whole lot of stress for barely any pay

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat your employees better and maybe people would stop quitting and the donors will stop going back to the other centers in town. More pay for employees and donors would help too

    Pros

    At the center I work at on the donor floor, all co-workers pretty much work well together.
    We tell each other good job for encouragement.

    Cons

    The people who do the most work are recognized the least.
    The air conditioning works well everywhere EXCEPT on the donor floor.
    Management lets donors disrespect employees.
    Overworked and under paid.
    Also under staffed regularly.

    Hire an adequate amount of employees for ALL areas to run center more smoothly and better processing times.

    Pros

    Very flexible with work schedule to accommodate school scheduling. Great staff and working environment. Hours are good depending on the department you'll hardly work past 9:00pm.

    Cons

    Lots of training. Training is continuous and ongoing and there is a ton of reading to be done all the time.

    I have been working at CSL Plasma full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    CSL Plasma will teach you many skills and will provide endless opportunities if you can travel and have a Bachelor's degree (any Bachelor's will do.) New centers are popping up everywhere and provide many job opportunities and lots of opportunity to travel. Many of the corporate manager's started their careers as entry-level center employees. Hard work and a flexible schedule will get you far!

    Cons

    Low wages. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Many centers (mostly older ones) have very low morale due to corporate managers enforcing rules, quotas, and expectations and no consideration for or appreciations for employees. Center employees shown little respect by management and corporate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Remodel your old, falling down centers to re-instill pride and enthusiasm in employees. Organize company picnics, appreciation days. Encourage managers to hire quality, professional staff.

    Nurses are often called to do duties other than nursing duties.

    Keeping the phlebotomy floor fully staffed would decrease stress for current staff, and decrease turnover as well.

    I did learn the basics of donor registration procedure, e.g. obtaining blood pressure, pulse, and temperature numbers and recording them.

    Cons

    Management style used at this location is only one directive and autocratic without regard for subordinates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    By not desiring input from employees who are on the "front line" employees will continue to not show initiative which reduces their productivity.

    Pros

    Great company for someone just starting a career. The benefits are good. There is always room to move up in the company, if you work hard and have the determination.

    Cons

    Management needs more professional training. Leadership is on a more personal view rather than doing what's right and ethnical things in making decision about employees working in the plasma center.

    Upper management needs to visit plasma centers more. And truly investigate issues that are reported to human resources.
