    Pros

    Benefits that is all yep

    Cons

    Pretty much everything else sucks

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't make it so hard to hire people! Don't keep adding different medial tasks, and expect me to be a cashier all the time too.

I worked at CST Brands full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

it is a job hours vary not all stores run the same

    Cons

keep piling more work on staff with no compensation they are all about donating to charities then caring about their employees, especially since they became CST BRANDS they would have been better had they stayed Valero or Diamond Shamrock Would not recommend to anyone to work for this company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

care more about employees and less on how much your bonuses are and what is donated to charity. Don't push your employees to ask for donations this company makes enough to donate themselves and should do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I worked at CST Brands full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It would make a good part time job. For all the work you do, I believe you should be compensated more.

    Cons

Minimum Wage pay at best. Seems like the hourly pay rate should be higher for all the work done...especially when you close the store alone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have two people closing the store vs. one.

I have been working at CST Brands full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Opportunity for advancement if you voice your desire to move up. Open minded category managers work with store level employees to increase sales/profits.

    Cons

Advancement sometimes held back by management not wanting to lose a good employee. Often low-balled on pay. Questionable pay policies in regards to raises and employee knowledge of pay at advancement. Lack of communication between departments (ie, Merchandising doesn't communicate with upper management leading to disciplinary action of store management).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate more and do so effectively. The merchandising team should not be at odds with the VPs. Understand we all have the same goal: increase sales and profits.
