    Pros

Great supervisor in the Math Dept. Department itself can be disorganized but isn't too bad.

    Cons

Not much, just the archaic timesheet protocol.

    Advice to Management

They could update their protocols regarding turning in timesheets. It's really not too big of a deal, but could save some trouble.

I have been working at CSU Fullerton part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great university for some students. Certain departments are not as well organized. Fast and timely response from HR department.

    Cons

No prep time for adjuncts, little to no available space after your hour is up for the office.

    Advice to Management

Decrease amount of adjuncts and allow instructors to work with students as part of the CSUF team.

I worked at CSU Fullerton part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great supervisors. They really invested in your development and always had your back, Good learning experience. Made me a better student.

    Cons

Pay isn't great. You definitely aren't in a bargaining position, but I didn't really expect that from a job that you get while working towards your degree.

    Advice to Management

I never really had to deal with management. I'm sure they would increase pay if they were able since it is about helping out students.

    Pros

Great co-workers, benefits are fantastic, work around school schedule. Environment is laid back and standards are set based on the individual.

    Cons

Too many politics, pay for non-managment positions are low, little to no respect from upper-management in Human Resources.

    Pros

Good to work as a Student Assistant on campus. Your experience depends on nature of your work. Everyone all around the university treats students so well.

    Cons

I dont really see any negatives.

    Management is good too.

I have been working at CSU Fullerton full-time

    Pros

Good hours, good people, excellent benefits (nearly 100% employer paid), highly diverse campus, wide variety of training opportunities available.

    Cons

Parking: during the academic year, parking is hard to come by after 10am due to a high volume of faculty and students

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

Union job security, very good medical, dental, and vision benefits, generally good work environment and nice coworkers generally.

    Cons

Very few vacation days (starts at 10 and goes up really slowly), tuition benefits not as good as most other schools (6 credit hours), a lot of bureaucracy.

    Advice to Management

We don't really need that many AVPs, divisions, and departments just to show commitment to various objectives. Sometimes, less is more.
