CSX Reviews
-
Pros
Compensation and benefits are on par with companies of the same industry. Professional development opportunities are available, if desired. Opportunities for career advancement and numerous locales across the East coast. Employee health care costs are still below average despite recent rise. Company matches first first 6% if employee contributions to 401k. Plus, employees can contribute up to 50% of their salary.
Cons
Training process for new hires in the field needs improving. Also, oversight of on the job training MUST be improved. Money is spent spent on rail infrastructure, but employee on duty locations and yardmaster towers are sorely neglected. Employees involved in operations subjected to sometimes severe work schedule.
Advice to Senior Management
Better oversight of new hire progress during on the job training. On duty buildings and yard towers at field location desperately need attention. Upgrade tuition reimbursement to previous amounts.
