    Pros

You meet some good people. Some of the supervisory staff is great and tries to help you as much as possible.

    Cons

You lose just about all of your free time. The piece rate pay system constantly changes making the whole pay scale so convoluted that you can never really figure out if you are getting paid properly. Due to the recent change in pay for charter contractors you make nowhere near what you used to. You used to want big jobs because they paid the best but now its all flat rate so a big job is worth nothing compared to the hours you put in. All in all it's just not a good job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest with the technicians. Try to build up techs with perks for getting great numbers. We had that for about 3 months and then it disappeared.

    Pros

U get a check not a good one but its a check

    Cons

U have to pay for your own gas and if the company gives u gas they take it out of your check.
the training is the worst they put u in a truck with someone who isnt getting paid to train u so they may not explaim everything to u and your supervisors expect u to learn everyrhing with no help.
management and the owners are sorry excuses for bosses all they care about is keeping their contract
no days off or if you flget them you have to go into work to find out you're off
    horrible supervisors
    Extremely long work weeks
no family life or social life
horrible out dated trucks, i drove around with expired plates for two months and a exp inspection for a month because they didnt care and truck broke down and all they said was can i still make it to the job because the customer is calling.
no support or help in the field

The list goes on and on.....

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to run a company and care about your employees instead of just yourself....you alabama boys need to stop being greedy bastards

    Pros

If you're looking to have a job and that's it, this is the place for you.

    Cons

Poor company organization, long work hours, small compensation

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire and maintain the right employees for the job instead of choosing positions based on friendships.

    Pros

Receiving a pay check is the only benefit.

    Cons

Total mismanagement, work-life balance is unequal

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a firm grip on reality, stop making the effort to ruin good employees while praising the worthless ones.

This was the worst job I have ever had.

    I worked at CUI Cable

    Pros

Awful job! I do not recommend this job for ANYONE!

    Cons

If you don't want a life with your family, then this is the job for you. If you like being publicly humiliated and talked down to, this is the job for you. If you like management deleting hours off of your time sheet when you worked well over 60 hours per week and they decide to only pay you for 42 hours, this is the job for you. I would not wish this job on anyone. I worked there for over 2 years and hated every second of it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace all management with people of integrity and honor! The problem with management in this place is that their employees have lost all respect for them due to the way they are treated on a daily basis.

I have been working at CUI Cable full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent pay; good insurance; work truck provided. Good job if you can't find anything else. Always be on the lookout for another job.

    Cons

If you've ever heard of someone getting burnt out at there job; work here for a couple of months and you will quickly find out the true meaning of that statement. This place is a revolving door with employee's. There's a reason why they are always hiring. Say bye bye to your home life. You'll be working 2 weeks straight at times. No work schedule. Its always up in the air if you will be off or not. Even on your off days, you have to go in to work to find out you're off.

This job will pay you decent money and is good for a "in-between" job to bring home a pay check. But if you do a little digging, you will find a job that pays just as much, or in my case more, with much better benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
