Advice to Senior Management
Cherish your best performers
Pros

Cons

Advice to Senior Management
move one
Pros
The benefits are very generous.
Cons
Unbelievable number of management levels. There are so many managers that are trying to make a name for themselves and advance that it is impossible to discern what direction they want you to go. In 8 years there I had 7 managers and every time a new one came in the same old story-It's going to be different this time, here's the new rules, then they are gone in a year.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop concentrating on how warm and fuzzy you can make your managers feel at the expense of the people actually working. Managers are just people who failed in the field.
Pros
There are a lot of great people and good work coming out of CUNA Mutual.
Cons
It is important to note that this is a big matrix organization and you must understand how this works.
Advice to Senior Management
Stay on course involving staff on decisions in order to ensure buy in, it’s the best approach.
Pros
Good industry and overall business model. Company has better potential for growth than competition in a competitive environment and organization is diverse.
Cons
Company is very political and departments operate in a silo with very little cooperation with each other. Business analysts are under-qualified for their responsibility. Business leads are company experienced but limited in skills.
Advice to Senior Management
There is a program management office, but the staffing in that area seems focused on bringing in business analysts and inexperienced project managers that have a limited skill set and/or non-relevant experience in medical records software that do not add value.
Pros
Company truly believes in the credit union movement. Helps employees build their careers and provide a good balance of work and family.
Cons
Does not always empower employees to do what they need to do to make the company successful.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep hiring top quality executives!
Pros
Good benefits, paid time off.
Cons
Management what not stable enough for me .
Advice to Senior Management
Know your job please talk to your employees.
Pros
Good place to help credit unions
Cons
confused strategies, high turnover, even of recent employees
Advice to Senior Management
figure out why so many leave the company
Pros
- Great benefits
- Great people
- Independence in structuring your work day
- Great department manager
- Underground parking
- Superb work/life balance
Cons
- pay non-reflective of experience
- Difficult to find the correct person to get answers to specific questions. Sometimes get the impression when you call another department, they just want to transfer you right away
- Some not so friendly people on the customer service call in line
Advice to Senior Management
Great job on keeping employees up to speed on current company events and changes.
Try not to focus solely on gain in revenue; spend the same amount of time on your customer service and value.
Pros
there is a gym in the basement
Cons
no overtime allow most of the time
