Pros
Great manager, challenging work, opportunities for advancement.
Cons
Bonuses no longer paid at 100%, long hours.
Pros
-Management is flexible with college students.
-Positive reinforcement when job well done.
-Friendly and courteous staff.
-You know what is expected of you.
Cons
-Always busy, feels like higher ups, DMs and above, expect more than can actually be done. -Constantly rearranging because one day they (higher ups) like this, and tomorrow they like it different
Advice to Senior Management
-Increase communication among all employees, management sometimes relies on other employees to relay a message, when we should have more group huddles or one to one with management.
-A clean organized office will better serve the store.
Pros
Good pay, work extra hours, longer shift more days off. Get to interact with patients more than other pharmacies. Good People to work with.
Cons
Mangers are very demanding, metrics most important thing not patient satisfaction, sometimes come up with new patient programs that don't make sense.
Advice to Senior Management
Focus more on customer happiness and not on metrics(ie SSS kPm, execution). Work with rph instead of trying to push them out
Pros
Good health insurance
You can move up quickly
Cons
This company is poorly run, the expectations of what the store staff can get done is extremely high. There is barely any payroll at all and they keep cutting it more and more every year. Upper management treats store employees like trash, the only thing they care about is there numbers. Be prepared to be run in to the ground.
Advice to Senior Management
The stores are severely under staffed which is clearly affecting your front store sales. There are too many metrics to meet and too many programs going on at the same time, back off of the weekly task or watch your stores constantly fail.
Pros
Good experience to put on a resume
Employees are nice people to work with
Multiple shift opportunities to fit different schedules
Cons
Stressful when customers are upset
Fast-paced
On your feet for your entire shift
Pay raises are few and far between
Cut hours at stores that are insanely busy
Trying to do more with less hours to give
Management does not understand the stress levels in the pharmacy
Advice to Senior Management
Try to put yourself in the workers' shoes before drastically cutting hours to "save money." Reward employees who have even with the company for years.
Pros
Great customers,i love customer service. Love working the load when it comes in.The people i work with. The fast passe. High scene of urgency.
Cons
Not enough employees for the work that needs too be done! So way more work gets thrown on you. Hours keep getting cut.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen 2 your employees, take the advice if something can be done easier or faster . Somethings are just a wast of time!
Pros
After working there for as long as I have, I have built up a couple of nice friendships with other employees.
Cons
Treated like a slave by customers and bosses, horrible pay evern after 4 years, everyone constantly complains about everything.
Advice to Senior Management
Take better care of your employees! Working retail, especially for a company like this, ywe get a lot of harassment from customers and it is not worth the horrible wages.
Pros
Learn about drugs, causes and effects. Learn generic-brand names. Understand Insurance processing. Job may be significant upon individual. One has freedom within the workplace, as to make decisions and problem resolution. Interact with patients. Benefits are okay.
Cons
Varies from store to store. Low pay, hours vary weekly. Tasks and responsibilities are overwhelming. Must be done in a timely manner as well as filling prescriptions. Cvs system is good, but too slow.
Advice to Senior Management
Some stores best budget and still struggle because hours are still cut, and there is too much work for one person.
Pros
The pay is decent. Great learning experience if your looking to work in the pharmaceutical industry. Company is recognizable.
Cons
Upper Management cares more about there system and policies than they do about their employees and customers. It's almost like they just get bored and come up with random policies. Such as, for a while we were required to scan a CVS card for every customer and if they did not have one we scan one and stick it in their bag. I had some customers come back in several times and final ask us to stop sticking new cards in their bag. They simply did not want one. However management would write employees up if their scan rate dropped below 95%. That's just a small example.
Advice to Senior Management
I believe it would be a good idea to actually go to a CVS once in a while and spend a few days learning what the customers and employees see on a daily basis. Then maybe you will see how ridiculous a lot of your schemes really are. Half the time your strict adherence to one size fits all policies just make customers mad. Focus on individuals and your employees and customers will be much happier.
Pros
Company discount, flexible schedule, fun co-workers.
Cons
Angry customers, very stressful workplace.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't put so much stress on the employees.
