    Pros

Health benefits are decent. Management really professional on the East Coast. Employees were great to work with.

    Cons

Like any retail job, a lot of the customers are rude, very rude. The people that hardcore coupon at CVS are a nightmare to deal with. Also, the pay. There is no reason why we can't be making a little extra when the stores are always so heavily understaffed.

    Advice to Management

A well paid employee is a happy employee. A happy employee makes happy customers. Happy customers return. In turn, CVS makes more money...

I have been working at CVS Health (More than a year)

    Pros

Good starter job Basics of customer service Raises based on performance

    Cons

Never enough full time employees Saving hours effects store performance

    Advice to Management

CVS is just like any other retail, this is only for front store because I can't imagine even stepping foot in the pharmacy. The front store is 3 sections, Checkout, Photo and Beauty. Some stores don't even have Photo, or employees for Beauty. My store is very high volume so we have both. I started as a cashier and was very satisfied with the job because it was full time and I was fresh out of highschool. The pay was above minimum wage and I had no bills so it was fine for me. 6 months in I was asked to work on beauty so I accepted happily. We previously had 4 Beauty employees and they were exempt from register and strictly worked on the floor and with customers. Well, over a year now in, I seemed to have missed that "exempt" status. I'm always running back and forth between the floor and registers because there's never any cashiers. It gets frustrating. It's one of those jobs where no matter how ahead if your work you get, you will always fall behind because of someone else's slack. 2 years in, the pay in not cutting it, and the job is not worth the stress. It is not an ideal company to making a living off of, and management is not worth trying to get into. You will basically be a cashier with manager numbers, and only recieve about 60 cents raise, and no respect.

    Pros

You develop Great Customer Service Skills as well as healthcare experience in pharmacy retail sevice department.

    Cons

to be a member of CVS health, it takes great patience with customers as well as co-workers which can be very discouraging but its up to the employee to stay focus on what is important and that's satisfying the customers needs while maintaining fast accurate service.

    Advice to Management

Continue to reward your employees as they progress in the field of customer service. strict but fair treatment or you will witness a chain reaction of poor customer service as well as a boat load of unsatisfying customers which is bad for business.

    Pros

Great corporate brand and market share.Superior Sr leaders. Good benefits. Lots of internal growth possible.

    Cons

Below market pay. Inconsistent line leadership. Too much travel with current org structure. Little true engagement of line staff...disconnect between word and deed.

I have been working at CVS Health (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers Good experience in a retail environment Flexible hours

    Cons

Low wages and even lower pay raises high turnover LP is ineffective in reducing external theft

    Advice to Management

Treat your people well and they will respond accordingly. If you keep adding more tasks and you consistently cut payroll hours with no financial incentives then you have to expect poor customer service and a lack of motivation to complete daily assigned tasks.
