I have been working at CVS Health full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

One pro from my personal experience are that I have been able to advance to higher level job titles/positions.

    Cons

I worked at CVS Health full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed working with CVS (10 years) I was able to grow with the company and gained much both personally and professionally. I found most of the interactions from store level to higher/upper management to be professional, and a true desire to get the job done collectively as a team. Over all I was satisfied with my service, dedication and knowledge gleaned.

    Cons

Expectations at sometimes unreasonable with allowable staffing i.e. Moving a full Plan-o with two people on payroll. Quality of life was many times challenged by these expectations. Huge shifts within company after Tom Ryan retired. 100% exception based company, always looking for what is 'wrong' and not seeing what is good/right.

I worked at CVS Health full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great experience to improve your software skills. Great training from management and coworkers. Great retirement matching program. They even have a stop smoking program where you get the free gum/patch (a coworker did it and it took her a year, yet they paid for it).

    Cons

The pay is very low. There aren't many opportunities to move up in the company due to it's size, but it is a great experience - It still looks good on your resume. The company has a weird correction plan for bad employees, which makes it hard for them to fire any bad people. This can be a problem since the rest of the team has to pick up the slack. At the end of the day, when you have that other job interview, they will be impress with the obstacles you had at this place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs a better plan to get rid of bad employees.

CVS has a great vision and is going against the grain in terms of big business, but the in-store morale may be lacking.

I worked at CVS Health part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

If you like interacting with people and solving customer-related issues, you'll have no problem succeeding in the customer service associate position. The job is pretty straightforward and simple once you get the hang of the several tasks that are delegated to you.

    Cons

The morale of the colleagues I worked with was very low, and some were unprofessional. It's not a great job if you're looking for a career-oriented position, nor does it pay well. This position is predominantly for teenagers (who end up driving up the turnover rate because many continue on to college or work elsewhere) and students who work at CVS part-time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Help the part-time workers feel more involved and less like they are chained to monotonous, boring tasks.
