I have been working at CVS Health full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great company for those graduating from college, plenty of opportunity for advancement, great co-workers and pretty good benefits (although they have changed tremendously from when I started). Easy job if you're customer service oriented and a great learning experience.

    Cons

Could use some restructuring, one of the largest differences between mid and lower level employees and management in terms of pay, pay doesn't match parallel positions from other companies, lack of communication between departments and lots of red tape in terms of company policy when trying to resolve issues. We need to be able to go off script sometimes to resolve issues and if it's too far outside of the box, you may experience difficulty in getting assistance from other departments.

I have been working at CVS Health as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    - Fun set of products
    - Great work life balance, this is a true healthy lifestyle advocate company
    - Strong teams which help promote innovative solutions which is extremely important in the healthcare sector

    Cons

    - Extremely slim profit margins and top management is concerned about exponentially growing revenue which costs them with "bad apple" revenue that drives down profits

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut costs and turn away revenue that will not be highly profitable. This way you can drive value by investing in employees throughout the org to increase NPV of many corporate projects.

I worked at CVS Health full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Very faced paced at times with enough variability to keep it interesting. The regulars were very nice and you develop a great relationship with them. If you get along with your team then your shifts are a lot better.

    Cons

Not enough hours were given and what we had was constantly being cut. Because of this you had to do multiple jobs around the store and often missed out on breaks and were written up when impossible projects we'rent finished. The vacation time and sick time where a joke and with the changes in benefits it doesn't seem worth it. Training was also useless in the practical sense,

Little recognition and support for improvement and interface between departmental collaboration.
