I have been working at Cable & Wireless full-time for more than 10 years

ProsExposure to new and emerging technologies. Vendor specific training

ConsToo much is expected from individuals, it's a do more with less culture. Therefore quality of work output is not up to standard.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide more training. Proper definition of roles needed as current roles are too cross functional not allowing staff to perform at their maximum potential.

A great place to work but opportunity for advancement limited in the USA due to small size of staff.

Pros- Flexible work hours.
- Work at home 2x days per week.
- Collaborative working environment
- Very "global" way of working
- Competitive pay
- Small size encourages entrepeneurial spirit

Cons- USA is very small in size, so limited advancement opportunities
- UK based organization makes it hard to feel "connected" to home office
- Limited global product set - makes selling in to US accounts difficult

Advice to Senior ManagementFor a truely global presence, product management needs to focus on creating products and services that exist across all geographies.

ProsCommunication sector is a good sector to work for and the company has a nimble footed management

ConsThe company makes frequent changes to executive management and as a result strategies do not get implemented. The company has very poor HR policies and practices. The company treats employees very poorly and does not present equal opportunities for all. The company does not listen to any third party opinion thereby taking wrong decisions
