    Pros

nice people to work with. Work and life balance has been respected. People usually will stay there for many years without moving around.

    Cons

do not encourage to take risks. People who is willing to take risks will find very difficult in the environment. Lack of motivation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The leaders in this organization should move people around instead of letting them stay in one position too long. Don't do too much restructuring

    Pros

    - Treated Well
    - Management will try to treat you well
    - International moves are promoted
    - Work life balance is promoted and achieved

    Cons

    - Pay is lower than similar business
    - The business is over using its brand to recruit
    - Middle management has remained static making it hard to gain promotion

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should focus on selecting a single management model and then sticking with it. There are tow many poorly communicated models from the corporate group that are not implemented by the local businesses.

    Pros

Great brand to have on your CV
    Free chocolate
Use some great brand advertising agencies
    Employee benefits are very good

    Cons

Senior management are stuck in the 1970s - aloof and awkward around employees
'Collegiate approach' means that its hard to get anything done

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A major reduction is still required in the number of senior managers. There is so much duplication of responsibility in the organisation

Cadbury Canada Review - Marketing Group

    I worked at Cadbury

    Pros

Cadbury Canada is a good place for people who have been in brand management before to work on a good strong portfolio of brands. Since I worked there a lot of the program management was moved to the US, so from what I understand little creative is actually made in Canada for Canada. The office is fairly new and in a good location (although it's uptown - north york) - office morale was pretty good in the marketing group with a lot of young people who were fun to work with. HR activity was also pretty good in terms of benefits.

    Cons

What I mentioned before about Canadian creative being picked up from the US - regardless of this, a very large proportion of the brand management work at Cadbury was product development (ie working with other offices around the world including factories to create new product offerings ) while this is interesting and enjoyable, it can make the work very project management-oriented. The advertising side of things was a small portion of the job and usually followed the launch of a product. Nielsen is also a very large part of the more junior positions - overall training was also not that great for junior positions. Cadbury was becoming famous for losing their people to better companies promotions in the marketing group at that time would happen rarely.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think overall there was a lot of staff movement that was done, not always taking into account the member's own preference of which direction they wanted to take their career. People were moved without much choice into different departments and while that works with certain people, I did not get the sense that management did so taking the actual person's style into account. Also they need to promote good work more readily - good people on staff would leave and all be promoted elsewhere - so if the market feels they should be promoted, Cadbury would not be any different!

I have been working at Cadbury

    Pros

Company is more tolerant and soft towards employees with a cultural fabrc knitted into it. people ar not harsh in their day to day behaviour and managers are not bully type. People in general are respected as humans.

    Cons

mangement is scary fo decisons and repsonsibility is pushed downa wards from the top. Lower work force is not aligned with mangement and the sam is not acceped as s aproblem resulting in every one downg the job 2-03 levels below and hence vaccum in liong term strategy. Decsions are adhoc and unplanned. Most importantly every one does the job of other person and takes pride rather than doing their own.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Complete revamping the system from the scratch and puuting system before the person in all repects. Stop personifying the success and failure. In good system , no one can perform badly and in same way in a bad system, no one can perform in a better way. Puuting very clear accountability and resposnisbility bot at the top and bottom as they are the back boen. Should have a control on work force at the bottom in terms of discipline and resposnisbility which absolutely non- exstent as of now and noone like to bell the cat and take the bull by horns. If it coninues, already on teh down path.

    Cons
