Some talented and hard working employees. Some are on the opposite.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) San Jose, CA

    ProsGood working environment
Some talented and hard working employees
    Flexible working hours.
Good challenge in work and has chance to learn knowledge.

ConsNot all employees are doing their job, some are just killing time. Very slow promotion and salary raise. Management is used to give good words on employees but no promotion and salary raise following up.
Benefits leg behind on par companies. Not value its hard working employees that much.

Advice to Senior ManagementAppreciate their employees, especially on their hard working employees.

    Cadence is finding it's way

Applications Engineer (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsGreat and talented people, especially individual contributors. Good core analog products that still for the most part are industry leaders. Cadence owns RF extraction market place.

ConsCadence has lost it's way and corporate vision. It's chaotic and competition is taking market share away from core business units, especially in the digital space. Too many middle level managers create uneccsary red tape and ineffeciency.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet a technologist to lead the company. Having a finance guy in charge isn't going to lead to the innovation Cadence needs to remain competative

    Cadence

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGood mid-level management, decent technology, flexible work hours, good benefits, 401K,vacation, good technology infrastructure, can work from home, travel flexiblity

ConsVery poor leadership within the company, they are inexperienced and do not care about building a lasting organization, only care about their own financial well being. Not customer focussed, very limited career advancement opportunities.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet some training on leadership! Try putting the employees first then the customers. Develop a long term plan versus short term tactical one that is being implemented now

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
