    Pros

Tips and flow of work always kept me on my toes

    Cons

They say they treat you like family but they really just treat you like a number which didn't hurt my feelings but if you're looking for an team or family type if work environment this isn't your job

    Advice to Management

Treat the employees like you need them I think this tactic would boost morale of the workers

    Pros

Weekly pay checks, some great co-workers

    Cons

Incompetent upper management, bare bottom staffing, lower management not given tools they need to be effective and then they take the fall

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the boys club who has been there forever. Start fresh. Bring in someone to run spotlight program who actually says hello and smiles. End nepotism.

    Pros

It was a job. Benefits were good and you get paid weekly. Coworkers were fine for the most part

    Cons

The manager was really bad. It was all about the business and she did not really care about the associates. You have vacation time that you have to use but manager doesn't let you take it so you lose it

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring your buddies and hire somebody who actually cares about the associates.

    Pros

Can be a very fun, highly energetic, challenging, and rewarding work environment. There are lots of very smart people working in the company, particularly at the executive level - this was part of the culture Gary Loveman (former CEO) fostered as he was a Harvard Professor prior to joining Caesars. It is a very data/analytically driven company. There is LOTS of room for career progression in this company if you are smart, energetic, great with people, team player, and have a good work ethic. Company believes in moving people into different roles/areas of operation, etc within the organization (if you want to) which is really great as you can have a long career within the same company and not get bored. For the most part, this is not a rule from the ivory tower kind of company - this is a company where people at all levels of the organization role their sleeves up and get things done. There is lots of collaboration and sharing of best practices throughout the organization and lots of teamwork. There are lots of things that Caesars does best - there customer service programs and CRM capabilities are top in the industry.

    Cons

The nature of the industry on it's own is fairly intense being that it is open 24/7 365 days a year but the company culture on top of that is one of HIGH intensity all the time - it's very much a "Do More With Less" mentality and it never seems to end. The work culture is work, work, work...it can be tough at times to strike a healthy work/life balance especially if you aspire to move up the chain. At higher levels of the organization it can be quite cliquey...not from a social standpoint but; in ones ability to continue moving up the ladder - there are few people who wield a lot of power and if you are not being championed by someone within their inner circles it can be tough to move up beyond a certain level within the organization as there is no formal mentorship or internal talent stewarding programs. At a certain level and above compensation is very good however; until you reach the senior levels pay increases will often be far lower than what you expect based the added responsibilities you take on and in comparison to similar roles in other industries.

    Pros

At first your left to sink or swim with the information you need and minimal training by your direct superior and peers. Succeed, last a month and flourish and they will heavily invest in you. I guess they don't want to waste time on the weak. If you dig in and prove yourself it's a great team to be a part of.

    Cons

work/life balance, sometimes you don't have what you really need to get the job done properly, but you have what you need to get the job done. politics

    Advice to Management

invest in the back of the house

    Pros

The people you work with are very friendly and kind. They really care about you and your well being. Made a lot of friends.

    Cons

Expectations are a joke. Majority of customers are rude and disrespectful, and the bosses are oblivious to that and how employees are treated.

    Advice to Management

Spend time with employees and see what they deal with.

    Pros

Early years were punctuated by great leadership and fun environment

    Cons

Last few years were tough, negatively affected by heavy corporate debt and pressure on benefits.

    Advice to Management

Company values must withstand tough economic times. Go through the bankruptcy process to shed some debt and make a strong effort to live up to the advertised values for the sake of both customers and employees
