    Pros

    - Not one dull employee - An abundance of love - Incredible energy and positivity - Abilities for self improvement (Landmark, Sacred Commerce)

    Cons

    - Underpaid BOH - Lack of management - Our manager isn't quite there for us when we need their support.

    Pros

At it's core, CG really wants you to do well. They offer free farms trips to their farm up in Northern California, encourage you to share what you're willing to and grow where you didn't know you could. Good food, generally good people to be working with, and an understanding that you won't be asked to work doubles or 8 days in a row or anything crazy.

    Cons

They have really started cracking down on little details to save themselves money. As they turn more corporate, it's just something to be mindful of moving forward. They keep the employees around that they like, even if that person is making repeated mistakes, and quickly let go of anyone that doesn't seem to be meshing with their overall ideal.

    Advice to Management

Figure out vacation requests, listen to employee advice more, this place isn't all about making $$$

    Pros

Great Schedule. Upbeat environment. Employee's Greatful. Owners and Creaters on hand. Corporate support. Wide variety of awesome guests. Food is tasty. Location is right by my home.

    Cons

It's a small restaurant. The service line is overcrowded. We need to implement a better waiting list. My position is challenging at times when employees don't want more structure.

    Advice to Management

Make pricing more affordable. Shop New benders.

    Pros

Delicious food, amazing customers and coworkers, and a positive environment. "Clearing" with a coworker at the beginning of the workday was crucial.

    Cons

I don't have any "Cons." However, for some people a con would include Cafe Gratitude's practice of tip-sharing with the entire restaurant, including the back of the house.

  7. Fun, great attitudes, pure foods, but illegal tip sharing

    Pros

Attitudes and practices of staff, yummy foods that are nourishing and good for the body. Other locations have adopted different pay structures.

    Cons

Seriously, illegal tip sharing. If it were structured differently, it would have been fine. The SF location shut down in order to avoid dealing with the legalities, then publicly blamed the workers for the closing.

    Advice to Management

I wish that the owners had listened to the reasonable requests and smart suggestions about tip sharing from the store staff.
