    Pros

The flex hours are great, which contributes to work-life balance

    Cons

The one sided relationships make pistols want to go to other companies. Management and specialists want you to perform their job duties without additional pay. Broken promises seem to be their emo... The morale is very low at this point

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like you would want to be treated and show them more appreciation for their hard work. Better pay and incentives would be nice

    Pros

Ability to gain experience in order to go to another company that places more value on quality associates.

    Cons

Upper management has become more concerned about cutting cost than quality work. Recently lost a lot of very knowledgeable and experienced staff due to upper management decisions.

    Pros

Used to be a great company...salaries was good and bonuses were great. Managers don't micromanage and time is flexible.

    Cons

Managers show favoritism to those who kiss their 'you know what'. Those favorites have less experience, but get promoted. The company has recently laid off more than 100 employees due to a 'teaming agreement' with another Medicare contractor instead of trying to find jobs within the company or HBS/BCBS umbrella for people who have been with the company for 15+ years. Good quality caring, honest, faithful, experienced people gone and not only were they laid off, but they also did not offer health insurance coverage thru the following month. Last day was May 29th, and insurance ended May 31st. Former employees were not offered a severance package at all because it is a non/Medicare allowable cost, but the other company(under the same umbrella) CSA offered their employees severance. Let's not forget the retention bonus that was offered if you stayed until May 29th, but (here's the catch) you could not accept an offer of employment during that time. So if you managed to get hired by the 'partnering company' you get no retention bonus even if you stayed til May 29th. accept an offer of employment during that time. So if you managed to get hired by the 'partnering company' you get no retention bonus even if you stayed til May 29th. I'm done for now...you decide if you still want to work for Cahaba or not...you definitely can't make it a career with longevity.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    There are no pros here.

    Cons

A lot of childish behavior at the Douglasville, Georgia location amongst people who 'classify themselves' as adults. Don't be fooled by what you see on the outside. The ugliness will indeed show through your coworkers and way too much workplace drama. If you have no high standards for yourself and you love gossip and drama you'll fit right in. My standards were too high to work around a bunch of 5 year old children. I now have a position that I love and am appreciated by my management team and coworkers working as a TEAM.

    Pros

Benefits are great, compensation is decent to above average. There is a lot of talent around you. CIO is very bright and innovative.

    Cons

Compliance shuts down basically any initiative. Managers are quick to shut down innovation. Lots of turnover because everyone is a chef in the kitchen. No one has any idea what processes are required to complete routine tasks. Process simply doesn't exist. PMO is clueless and rather ramble about things of which they have no idea. The word cloud is strictly prohibited.

    Advice to Management

Let your playmakers make plays. Get out of their way.

    Pros

It was a pay check. Some of the employees are friendly

    Cons

It was great my first year but was a sinking ship after that. I was in a very dysfunctional department (5 managers in 4 years). Managers show favortism and are not qualified to be managers.

    Advice to Management

    Hire qualified managers

  11. Horrific. The management staff all the way to the president have a lack of care for their employees.

    Pros

They offer a flexible schedule but if you are late more than 3 times then you get a warning.

    Cons

Lack of care for employees. The company has an ultimate goal to have all business in Birmingham so they could care less about the other sites.

Severance is not even an option if you are layed off. When you leave the company you leave with a box of your belongings and nothing else. They could care less about their employees.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers that are not robots and that care about their employees. Not managers that consider employees as a problem if they ask questions.

When laying staff of try to make sure that managers don't black ball staff that worked with them at previous employers.
