I have been working at California Check Cashing full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Friendly work atmosphere, good pay (more than bank tellers) and they also have other incentives that you can earn, the company always wants to make sure that its employees are safe, managers and DM's work with you to get flexible hours, they even work around school schedules. Pay increases often if you work hard to earn them.

    Cons

Work on weekends and evenings, POS system outdated, company needs to upgrade. Sometimes there are customers that can be a pain.

I have been working at California Check Cashing full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The people I have worked with are pretty cool. Great atmosphere if you get lucky to be placed in the right store.

    Cons

Pay isn't great. You are really underpaid for all the things they ask you to do. Also, policies and rules change on a weekly basis. Below average to moderate management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The work life balance could be better. Consider maybe shorter days and shorter weeks.

I worked at California Check Cashing

    Pros

It is a good job for young workers. The pay is better than average. Gives you a wide range of experience.

    Cons

Small environment. Hard to move up. Management is not so bright. Conflicting policies. Very repetitive work. Difficult clientele. Stressful environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Double and triple check decisions to make someone assistant or even branch manager. They often make the person under them do the real work and take advantage of employees when not supervised.
