    Pros

I learned flexibility and multitasking. The scheduling demands are outrageous as compared to the compensation so you have to learn to open up your life to work or find a new position. Eventually you get the feeling that the company and owner will "get you for all you're worth." Your job description and the things you're actually expected to accomplish will never be properly outlined or balanced. This forces frazzles multitasking from management in store in order to keep everything in order. Guests are also a major concern for the brand and that focus helps the work environment slightly if the correct staff members are in place.

    Cons

The compensation is nowhere near competitive. It works to keep young adults who may not know their worth or may not have the skills for better positions yet, trapped. Lower compensation can sometimes be countered with decent benefit packages. This is also not offered-- not even to the management team.

    Advice to Management

I think that the franchisees and other corporate entities are missing how poorly the "bottom rung folks" are being treated. Franchisees need a bit more oversight just to ensure the very basic of HR qualities are being met. Not staying close to trend with the salaries and benefits offered at other companies is not at all prudent. It is excellent to make the guest the centerpiece but if the staff accommodating the guests are disgruntled, the adverse effects will show (and have shown).

    Pros

Fun, upbeat place to work. Simple responsibilities.

    Cons

Franchise so it all depends on who owns the restaurant (my owner was not a very good one). Little responsibility taken by higher-ups on the actions taken by the owner.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to who owns your stores and make sure they treat the employees well.

    Pros

    - most customers are really nice and are easy to make conversation with; there's kids eat free on thursdays and all the little kids are really fun to be around, put a smile on your face even though it's busy. - the food is good and the discount is fairly decent - work/cleaning is generally easy - most managers/co-workers are easy to get along with

    Cons

    - you usually work alone so if it happens to get really busy, you're the only cashier. the manager will come up and help you, but most of their focus will be on the line. - management will always tell you what you're doing wrong, but never tell you what you're doing right. - you have to work CONSTANTLY, if you have a free second where you aren't cleaning you'll probably have something said to you.

    Advice to Management

    - be more understanding about having to call out - offer more constructive criticism, employee reviews - perhaps schedule more than one cashier at a time
