    Pros

This is a company most suited to folks right out of college (undergrad). You get a chance to apply what you've learned. And, if you build relationships with the right managers, they won't micromange you. Lots of people change departments at the lower staff levels, following their interests and desired responsibilities. Know marketing, but are interested in sales? They will let you do that. Want to write, but are more of a financial analyst? They will pair you with writers to build those skills.

    Cons

Turnover is high here, but those who stay resemble a "good old boys club". One family comprises nearly half of the leadership team; it can create some odd dynamics. Stress can sometimes come from no where and you have to drop everything you are doing to deal with it. Every job has this, but what makes this different is that, its totally avoidable, is the same people every time. And everyone knows how I could be avoided but they are unable to do so. Be prepared for some crazy stressful moments, where your efforts aren't always appreciated.

    Pros

Good place for a young person to get experience and skils since you can contribute in a number of different ways. Very talented core of employees who are fully engaged and productive.

    Cons

Management is weak and ineffective mostly due to lack of experience. Crisis management is severely lacking. Pay is below industry standards.

    Advice to Management

Products and services are too good to allow them to be mismanaged. Pay your employees a little more so you can attract and retain talent, but hold them accountable for their actions. Also be more engaged with what is going on day to day.

    Pros

Good for entry level professionals. If you play the politics, you can create your own success here but if that's not your thing, don't apply for a job here.

    Cons

Horrible nepotism issues. The CEO doesn't have much power. It's the family members who own half of the company. They are the ones without true vision and will change direction every few weeks. Don't expect to know what's expected of you and do not think you'll be appreciated. If you don't think exactly how certain management members think, then find a new job. For the person who said the interview was professional. Yes, first impressions are great. Once you get in the door, you'll realize the mistake you made by accepting the job.

    Pros

It's hard to come up with one. This is a small company with great potential to impact the credit union industry, but it suffers from high turn over of young staff and lack of a corporate vision. Because a majority of the staff is young however it is a decent place for young people in DC to meet other young employees before they head off to other opportunities after leaving the company.

    Cons

Very high turn over among staff particularly young corporate executives. Family Management Little opportunity for career advancement. Consistent Crisis Management environment.

    Advice to Management

Remove the heavy influence of family members from the management team.

    Pros

The office is located right above Farragut North Metro. There are alot of food options for lunch. My favorite was Jack's Fresh.

    Cons

This is a family business where all of the senior managers are related. There is an extremely high turn over rate. There isn't a team environment - upper management (the family) blames the staff for the company's performance, but does not allow the staff to work independently. In Washington, DC (the "chocolate city") you would think that I wouldn't be the only person of color on staff.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people of color. stop throwing people under the bus.

    Pros

It is ok to start a career.

    Cons

Join only if you love to mess up with your career. They don't like to pay their employees I guess. Upper management blames the employees all the time even if its their fault. Never expect any appreciation or bonus from this company. Also, they hardly give raise each year. pay is very poor compare to DC. It is not sure what they want from you. you have to seat in cubes which is not a problem but It gets too much noisy through out the day and it is hard for someone to concentrate on the work. Management is poor so you will get disturbed by random people all day and miss the deadlines. On top of all these, they have no idea what you do so you will never get recognized. Never ever work here.
