I worked at Callisto Integration full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great work experience, exposure to many clients and projects, smart coworkers. Work with the latest technologies, usually .NET. Flexible hours and option to work from home when needed depending on project and manager. Opportunity to travel depending on projects.

    Cons

Pay may not scale as fast as experience, but does scale above inflation. Some projects may require a lot of overtime.

    Recommends

I have been working at Callisto Integration full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - The executives and HR are fantastic and try to maintain a good working environment.

    - The pay is fairly good; - entry level pay is around $54,000 for engineering graduates with no experience. This base salary is improved upon with an annual bonus around Christmas (~5% of salary). 'Stock' options are also available.

    Cons

    - The work is extremely mundane. Easily 80% of all work done by programmer analysts, the vast majority of the employee base, is copying/pasting old VB code and applying it to the project.

    - New, innovative ways to solve problems are strictly not allowed if they surpass the ability of Wonderware (which is fairly easy to do, as it's software created in 1999). You will not be creating new applications or developing in any language created in the last 7 years.

    - The benefits package is not very generous. I received better benefits working at Starbucks part time.

    - Travel is mandatory for all employee; 2-6 weeks a year, minimum.

    - There is an extremely high turnover for entry level positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

ASECO/Callisto is slowly dying and will eventually be left behind by faster moving, more innovative companies.

I worked at Callisto Integration as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Great learning environment to learn a great deal about control system development and implementation. Challenging yet rewarding experience gained through various problems and hurdles thrown your way. The company has a young work force which helps students or recent grads "fit in" very easily.

    Cons

Compensation is poor and can be a improved.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
