I have been working at Caltech Industries

    Pros

Caltech is a small, focused, innovative company that positively impacts the health care industry by providing products that help health care professionals fight HAIs. It is well run and the employees are hard working professionals who are a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

Because Caltech is small, the opportunities for long term advancements are limited. However, the company has grown significantly in the last few years, and if it continues there may be more opportunities in the future.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't take the comments from the disgruntled former Marketing Manager seriously -- tho' a huge bonus would always be appreciated!

I have been working at Caltech Industries

    Pros

    Small, intimate, family-owned atmosphere
Real teamwork between employees, no hidden agendas to deal with
    Great office space
The people are delightful and make every work day pleasant
Strategic decisions and direction can be made quickly

    Cons

Salaries are not competitive with other major employers in the area, but are what would be expected of a small company.
Limited upward mobility for staff, but if you are okay with that, it works well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A flaw in almost any organization is lack of communication and Caltech is not an exception. Strive to communicate company-wide on a more regular basis.

I have been working at Caltech Industries

    Pros

    Reasonbly flexible hours
    Decent office spaces
    nice co-workers
Jobs are interesting enough, and challenging,

    Cons

    Management doesn't care about employees
Pay is half the average for comparable jobs
Spends money foolishly, gives little back to employees
30% increase in sales 3 years running.....bonus? No, not even considered
THere are not many jobs in this area, and mgmt knows it, they have a good pool of candidates from the two biggest employers. Caltech takes those people with global experience, and won't allow them to do what they know needs to do. Mgmt has too many trust issues, too many micromanagment issues. GM is aloof and considers herself much more important than she does her employes
