Pros
Senior managers had a knack for identifying strong talent and developing them over several years to take on more responsibilities. Lack of animosity between departments fostered a healthy work environment.
Cons
Since acquisition, PVH corporation has slowly replaced long-time CK managers with their own managers thereby removing individuality in the company and homogenizing practices.
Advice to Senior Management
Leadership is strong and financial responsibility is paramount. Protect the positive working relationships by promoting the person who asks the tough questions and not the person who says what you want to hear. Do that and CK will continue to flourish.
Pros

Cons
A lot of pressure to sell yet paid minimum wage

Pros
Personal growth along with knowledge of new and upcoming products. Also, from a personal experience, I have a wonder store manager for whom I work.
Cons
The lack of stores nationwide makes growth hard. Moreover, the headquarters is located in New York City, so any hopes to move to the central hub requires moving to New York.
Advice to Senior Management
Overall, just keep doing what you are doing. The company continues to grow, and in such a down economy, that is wonderful news.
Pros

Looks great on resume.
Cons
It was only an internship.
It's very hard to move up the ladder or get hired because everyone loves their job so much that they don't want to leave.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work.

The PVH corporation is a very large, very influential company that has a lot of pull and respect in the retail community. The added draw of working for a well-known brand is nice.

2. Can have frustrating moments, whether associate or lower management
Advice to Senior Management
Provide equal opportunities to all employees and not hide information
Pros
Low expectations and great hours (9-5 with summer fridays)

No career growth unless you're in "the club"
Favoritism
Advice to Senior Management
Management doesn't manage or develop people, they expect everyone to come to work everyday and get things done on their own, with no direction or vision for the future. If management is dissatisfied with someone's performance, it is not communicated to the individual in a productive way -- instead management will bash that person's reputation behind closed doors instead. At the same time, poor performers are not counseled out of the organization, so the only people that leave end up being the star performers that are frustrated by their surroundings and the blatant favoritism.
