    I worked at Cameco

    Pros

Great support and assistance in building capacity. Fantastic and second to none Industrial Aboriginal recruiting policy . Strong community engagement program.

    Cons

Improving the number of Aboriginal Apprentices and underground miner, even though they are Industry leaders. This would make you untouchable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what your doing. Thank you for all your support in the last 20 years.

I have been working at Cameco

    Pros

pay, benefits, leadership, commitment to family and education, commitment to health, safety, environment and people. Initiative in community programs is second to no one

    Cons

This site is a very hazardous environment to work in. The chemicals on site are probably some of the worst on the planet and not to mention the radiation from the uranium is very high at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen a little more to your employees who are doing the work. Also keep an open mind when it comes to change.

I have been working at Cameco full-time

    Pros

Good reputation in the community. Lots of volunteer opportunities. The benefits are really good. I have a flexible boss so that works well for me. I really like the work I do and there are lots of opportunities for creativity and advancement.

    Cons

Corporate office and sites are very different cultures. Corporate is a bit stuffy and sites are quite informal. It makes for a strained relationship between the two.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to be more consistency from one department or site to the other. Some managers are very strict and some are flexible. It is hard for the people in the strict groups to see how good others have it.

    I worked at Cameco

    Pros

Benefit package is second to none, compensation is fair/above-industry standards, bonuses are fitted to the job that you perform and your ability to execute tasks. Work-life balance is encouraged.

    Cons

You are at the whim of the industry in this company. Upper management team does not seem to be all on the same page, which makes for mixed messages making its way to the workplaces.

    No opinion of CEO
