I worked at Cameron University part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The work was very good. I enjoyed working as a student employee. The hours were very flexible and the people are very friendly.

    Cons

The cons was that there was not enough money. They need to pay people more than what they work for. But other than that it was good.

Former Employee - Hall Director in Lawton, OK

I worked at Cameron University full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There has been a complete turnover in the department so its a "fresh start"

If you want to work in housing this would be a decent "first" job. Salary is $27000, furnished apartment, meal plan and $1000 summer stipend. Very long hours, rotational on call schedule, and a questionable fire alarm system.

Training wise was none existent at the time. With the new director and a change in focus training should be excellent.

    Health benefits are good.

    Cons

Lots of cloak of dagger behind the scenes more so than other institutions.
