    Pros

Products based on modern technology such as HTML5, JavaScript, and C# Nice work environment that promotes collaboration Management that recognizes and rewards hard work and innovation

    Cons

Higher Ed industry has been struggling for the past couple of years Fast paced industry and work environment, not suited for everyone

    Advice to Management

I don't know how to say it better than: Great companies don't hire skilled people and motivate them, they hire already motivated people and inspire them.

    Pros

While the company has historically been focused on the For Profit higher education market, they have been having success in moving into the Not For Profit market in the US and internationally. Great benefits.

    Cons

Long sales cycles to replace entrenched competitors in student information systems. Lots of changes as the company repositions itself.

    Advice to Management

Drive transformation quickly. Make sure that everyone is on board with the changes.

Great benefits including PTO, 401k and health benefits after 30 days of employment.

    Cons

Zero training offered. "Onboarding" is a joke.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in training the staff.

    Pros

Good pay in relation to other companies.

    Cons

Too many to list. Most of the people working there hate it, but stay because they think they cannot get anything better.

    Advice to Management

When you leave a company, the people you managed should be unhappy that you are going. If it is the opposite, what kind of manager were you? That is, if you actually care about people.

    Pros

The people at Campus Management are what make it (I worked in Product Development). Of course every barrel has a couple of sour apples but the company is notable for its low levels of politics and a truly wonderful blend of very talented people.

    Cons

Campus Management ("CMC") primarily serves the for-profit education sector, which is being squeezed by legislative oversight, bad press, and a pretty major perception problem. The sector seems unlikely to continue growing; the opposite seems more likely. This will require CMC to align with public and non-profit institutions, and overhaul its business strategy and product offering accordingly. The company is working hard to make this happen but it obviously casts a cloud on long-term career growth and job stability at the company.

    Advice to Management

The cost-cutting and outsourcing trend of the 90's has run its course. Time for some imagination.

    Pros

High pay, because that was the only way they could attract people with their terrible reputation. We were granted autonomy and freedom, but mostly because there was a lack of foresight and vision. Friendship and comradely of the employees that endured a lot of bad experiences together.

    Cons

Schizophrenic organizational changes, frequent strategy and leadership changes, layoffs, poor technology execution, immoral and unethical approach to the customer. Frankly, it was the worst place that I, and many of my friends, had ever worked at.

    Advice to Management

Start acting like a software company that wants to build real products instead of an asset of an equity firm that is only interested in being bought and sold!
