Daily tasks are simple and manageable. You get familiar with the whole system in a short while. Co-workers are easy to get along with.

I have been working at Canadian Tire full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great work/life balance, great people, great culture.

    Cons

As an ambitious, young employee it can be frustrating seeing that most progression depends on years of service or seniority as opposed to what you put into your job. Many top performers end up leaving for this reason. Other similar companies tend to offer more promotions and upward mobility.

I have been working at Canadian Tire full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Location on the subway line. Flex benefits. Looks good on resume.

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunities for growth. No career development. Not a good team culture - no fun team events. Not allowed to work from home - not flexible with hours. Bad raises.

    Advice to Management

Introduce flex hours such as working from home. There should be career coaching - develop career plans with employees and management. Treat employees better.
