    Great money quick, great people, very fun atmosphere

    Cons

    hardware industry on the decline, very little opportunity for growth, Sr mgmt has "checked out" after sale of company

    I have been working at Canvas Systems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    There are some great, hardworking people who care about doing their jobs well. Most staff are able to maintain a good work-life balance. Most of the people are a pleasure to work with. Recently acquired by Avnet, leading to good long-term prospects for growth.

    Cons

    Salaries are 15-30% below market rate. Little or no room for short-term growth in many departments. Upper management does not communicate well with middle/lower management. Corporate acquisition is changing the company culture significantly.

    Work on internal communications and project planning. Listen to input from your team leaders before making big changes.
