Pros
Good work-life balance in some of the teams.
Very good package for the newcomers.
Cons
This company pays the freshers as per the market standards; however it simply ignores the experienced employees.
Salary growth rate 6 % p.a.
Complex organizational structure.
Only a certain set of people grow in the orgsnization.
They have no vision for KMs. They are simply "inventing" the projects and asking the KMs to work upon it.
Too much reporting.
Highly women-dominated company.
incompetent managers. They totally lack the people skills.
The work & teams are not defined properly. on any fine day, somebody wakes up and orders for something & the management asks the KMs to fulfill it.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to eliminate the CONs mentioned above.
Pros
Its a good work atmosphere and very friendly in nature to work with senior members. we will get good cooperation from all members
Cons
Its a monotonous work . Salary Pay is not so well.
Advice to Senior Management
Offer some benefits to the employee which encourage and motivate them to work
Pros
An ok place to be in. I am pretty new so still learning the ropes. The proffessionlism of consultants are good.
Cons
Hardly any training provided, conselling be senior members are inadequate or non existant. Expected to take up any role. Difficult to build up specialist knowledge.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide consulting training . Put more emphasis on soft skills and negotiation. Can improve the counselling program to be more meaningfull.
Pros
Relaxed environment
Pay is good
Get to work with latest technologies
Big name
Cons
Some business units give more stress to higher management only
Pros
Good work/personal life balance and people are friendly.
Cons
not much growth can be expected.
Advice to Senior Management
- provide more opportunities for employess
- Need to get more businesses and more employee involvement
- implement one team approach more vigorously
Pros
1. Good Salary offer
2. 100% of Variable component of the salary is paid even to those who have performed average
Cons
No Sick leave, Poorly managed projects, few onsite assignment
Advice to Senior Management
No Sick leave and Poorly managed projects are affecting personal life of employees and therefore affecting their performance
Pros
1.Close to city
2. Well connected with transport
3. Offers high salary while joining(but very non-standard)
Cons
1. Under performing & has frustrated clients & employees in F & A BPO services
2. Political environment & culture biases exist(typical Indian problem :-)
3. In the regional context (F & A BPO services) recruitment is based on ethnicity of a person not qualification. All due to few foul fishes in the Project & Production management.
4. No cultural diversity hence hampering the over all communication system. F.Y.I Diversity is trademark of MNC
5. Non-transparency of information due to political and autocratic behavior in top managerial positions
6. Performance management system is done just for the sake of it, hence hampering employee career growth adding no value to experience just years!
7. People who harbor ideas or dreams(new joinees) of becoming a professional will find it highly dis-appointing join the particular BU I am from. You just cant look up to anybody to follow. And you are not allowed to lead.
8. If making quick irrelevant money is on your mind join capgemini. Else try finding some job where your abilities are challenged.
Advice to Senior Management
1. Please promise what you can deliver at least to clients!
2. Time is important.Respect it!
2. Recruit staff based on qualification not ethnicity. Paul (if you are listening) you have some talking to do with this unit
3. Base salary on value of experience that is brought to the company not on ethnic or personal affiliation. It is possible that an organization can have a particular group of population more but not probable; especially non-local group.
4. Bring a Value adding Performance review & management system. Especially get people who actually know how to behave, lead & manage human capital.
5. Being in information services industry the casual & non-professional behavior of staff is a serious bottleneck for a MNC BPO business to progress.
6. If the company needs good employee, nurture one inside. There is no point using the old rotten strategies of talent kidnapping from your competitors. Simply, what you sow in the industry is what you reap.
Pros
travel, schedule flexibility, benefits, global experience
Cons
A global company means that most operational interactions are done over the phone and not face to face. Time zones are tricky to coordinate becasue of the global model.
Pros
Flexible timings
Good Work environment
Career growth
Cons
Specially for hyderabad location, management of HR is not upto the mark
Pros
Good work-life balance, good opportunities to get professional certification, decent progression prospects
Cons
Pay is generally lower than at competitors
Advice to Senior Management
Need to reward your employees better in order to stop them going to the competition as soon as they move up a notch or two, which is more or less a trend at Capgemini
