I have been working at Capgemini full-time

Pros- The management is very ambitious, motivated and very accessible
- Being one of the top IT firms Capgemini offers the possibility for a junior to gain increased responsability fast
- Well established global firm with wide network and knowlege access
- Overall if you are fast, determined and lucky you can get a lot out from this company

Cons- While the management is brilliant and accessible, the mid-management level is overworked and often unaccessible.
- Few personal development opportunities
- Basic project management tools are non-intuitive, time-consuming and a little outdated (Ressource Management tools especially).

Advice to Senior Management- Invest in your employees!!
- Update IT tools used!!

A very exhausting six months internship at Capgemini Technology (Paris, La Défense) - Energy and Utilities division

Trainee JAVA J2EE Engineer (Former Employee)
Nanterre (France)

I worked at Capgemini as an intern for less than a year

Pros- You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies of the moment.

- Employees are rather young, consequently if you are young you will be able to entertain yourself easily and it will not be difficult to make friends.

- Generally employees help each other.

Cons- As developer, you are always tracked (each 2 or 3 hours) by the boss of your team, who checks if you are really working and respecting a certain coding speed.

- At each scrum meeting, if something goes wrong (concerning the progression of the development project), the boss of your team will not hesitate to put the fault on all the software developers in order to not have any project delay responsibility.

Advice to Senior Management- Please respect and consider consultants not like robots but like humans being letting them having a work-life balance.

- At the end of the year please recognize the employees efforts promoting them or at least giving them a good mark or review.

Pretty boring except on international assignments

Senior Project Manager (Current Employee)
Paris (France)

I have been working at Capgemini full-time for more than a year

ProsLots of international assignments in the company, those international assignments being interesting, with Capgemini giving great compensations to people they send abroad.

ConsEverything goes slow, in all areas, presales get crippled by the industrialization process, information does not glow easily, and in the end, projects or presales are not as catchy as they should be.
