    I worked at Capgemini full-time

    Pros

Good salary, bonus, and nice benefits
    Internal training opportunities
Having Big 4 consulting experience looks really good on your resume
Lots of travel (might be a con)

    Cons

If you have to use sick leave or are between projects for more than a couple of weeks, don't be surprised to get that dreaded call from Human Resources
Top heavy organization - very political environment - short term focused
    Offshore everything mentality

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat all employees with dignity and respect
Understand that different markets support different margins and deal sizes, and set realistic internal expectations
Fix offshore issues or move offshore operations to countries with better work ethic

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Some of my peers were as committed as me to deliver quality results. We did as much as we could with little to no support from HQ.

    Cons

An extreme shortage of qualified resources and very little to none strategic vision to properly scope and sell projects. The team was then told to make it successful, and we were threatened with discharge if we couldn't use the unqualified resources to complete our deliverables on time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The senior management is part of the problem.

    Pros

Good Benefits, Initial Hire Process is Great.

    Cons

Management is 90% Offshore and Out of Touch with North America.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

North America should be Managed from North America.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Sizeable, interesting projects. Management straight-forward and easy to deal with. Staff competent.

    Cons

too much travel and overtime. You are essentially working like a contractor. No idea when a project finishes if you will be retained on bench or not and where / what your next project is going to be. You are not really working for Capgemini, that is only on paper. You are working for an Indian company called Kanbay

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Everyone knows that you are hiring just for a specific vacancy and the rest of ones tenure is based on who one knows, not what one knows. Performance reviews are barely even lip service.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great opportunities - especially for those who come into the company via Campus program (heck, even the CEO came out of campus)
Opportunity to work in a variety of industries
Good Pay and Great Benefits - 3 weeks vacation MINIMUM!! VC, Profit Sharing. All travel costs covered by company and you get to keep your miles and hotel awards (many consulting firms let the company accrue these)

    Cons

100% travel - you may be on the beach sometimes, but when you are not you are on the road
Political Company - you have to really network to do well at Cap - partially because people are on various projects and not in an office, you have to work to make sure people know who you are.
Work/Life Balance can be tough - type A, bright employees work a lot of hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More transparency with open roles within Company.

I worked at Capgemini full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

made numerous profesional connections, was exposed to a wide variety of businesses

    Cons

During interview was promised no more than 6 months travel per year, actual travel was 100%. Getting good assignments and promotions was not based on merit, only on ability to befriend the right people. This led to inexperienced/unqualified people in management positions who would steal ideas or place false blame on others to inflate their own importance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow employees to review their superiors. Do not lie about travel requirements during interview process
